Now it looks we’re going to have to play a better and better LSU team. We should have beat them the last 2 years while we had a better chance.

Well, we got Billy Napier. The Ragin’ Cajuns loved him, so we’ll see. Geaux Gators!

At least we beat FSU , so the season wasnt a total bust lol.

Billy is a good guy and a good recruiter.

I was told that Mullen was toxic when recruiting and he turned off the kid 'parents.

As an unbiased college football fan, happen to agree.

Last team that I'd consider myself biased to was Tom osborne"s Cornhuskers.

And different drug policies, too.

Some schools within the conferences have different drug policies.

So when a player sits out; is suspended; or transfers you would be surprised at how many have an illegal drug problem.

It is officially called "a personal problem."

And I agree but do ya understand what that actually means?

It means it's a little tougher to get in but it doesn't mean you come out any different.

Athletes who struggle academically will struggle regardless of the school standards.

I understand Catt. I'm just saying that the playing field is not equal. If every school had the same requirements, the student / athlete could go to any conference / school that wants him or her.

Not every school in the SEC has the same standards.   Vanderbilt can complete with anyone in academics.   That probably has a lot to do with their struggles on the football field.

Any concern that lane jumps for ok or ND?

Lane is legitimately a good coach.  I could be wrong, but I get the sense he feels under-appreciated and strives for recognition.  I think he believes he can best earn it in the SEC, and is in a good place to do so.   I don’t think he’ll leave any time soon.

Wow. Any reason why Ed Orgeron isn't returning next season? Pretty amazing considering LSU just won the nat'l title a couple seasons ago?

Getting a little tipsy at school functions and hitting on his bosses wives may have had something to do with it.

They can! It's just a matter of the students raising their grades.

The biggest problem isn't the SEC's standards, it's athletes being coddled since elementary school.

X2.  They are high school heroes that become mediocre individuals after high school.

Happens all the time.
