Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted November 27, 2021 Global Moderator Posted November 27, 2021 Got to go visit again today with the family. Always a good time! I think it’s the second largest underground lake in the world. It could be the largest one day but there’s a huge room full of water and pressure they haven’t found the end of yet. They stocked rainbow trout in it years ago to see if they could find the exit but the trout just stay and eat fish food. The largest one to come out of there is pictured with my wife (she’s trying to imitate it haha), just over 3 feet long. I 14 Quote
Way north bass guy Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Some healthy looking trout in there. The water is pretty cool coloured too. Quote

rtwvumtneer6 Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Pretty sure I stopped there with my dad on our way back to PA from Talladega... Maybe 2013?? If it's the place I'm thinking of they killed all the lights and it simulated what it would be like to be blind. I remember the glass bottom boat and the fish were pale from the lack of natural light. Pretty cool! Quote

Fishlegs Posted November 28, 2021 Posted November 28, 2021 I’ve been to several tourist caves, but the underground lake at the lost sea makes it my favorite. It’s unique. Definitely a worthwhile stop. 1 Quote

Bluegillslayer Posted December 1, 2021 Posted December 1, 2021 You have to sneak a tiny rod in there and catch an albino rainbow! 1 Quote
