nebass97 Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 I’m hoping to start making more of my own tackle in bulk over the winter here in Nebraska. What’s the best site to buy parts from? (e.g., jig heads, skirts, hooks, etc.) Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted November 20, 2021 Super User Posted November 20, 2021 Janns Netcraft or Barlow's Tackle If I need components, those are the only two places I look. 1 Quote
Super User jimmyjoe Posted November 20, 2021 Super User Posted November 20, 2021 You might want to try LurePartsOnline, too. https://www.lurepartsonline.com/Lure-Making/Shop-By-Product-Category jj 1 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted November 20, 2021 Super User Posted November 20, 2021 If you want premade jig heads you might start with guys on this site like cadman, smalljaw, munkin, or seibert. For hooks if I want less than 1000 I order from Captain Hooks. If I need at least 1000 of something I order from Shorty’s Hook Sales. Skirt material I get from fishing skirts or living rubber. Quote
Super User MickD Posted November 20, 2021 Super User Posted November 20, 2021 I never find everything I want from one source, so use all three of the ones mentioned above, in order of preference: Lure Parts Online, Barlowes, Jann's. Never heard of the hook sources, will check them out. 2 Quote
dopey Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 No such place!! LOL! I went to order 400 blanks for blade baits and I ran the costs for 5 different companies to get my best price - and it was Barlows. Right now crane swivels are really costly!! I even got some from China and they're actually pretty nice, worst part was I went through all my supplies and found 4000 of them! 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted November 26, 2021 Super User Posted November 26, 2021 Lurepartsonline or Barlow's is where I get stuff most of the time. Like someone said you can't get everything you need from one source. Now if you are looking at making thousands of baits there are other places. They just will not sell you 50 of anything. Hooks I have been buying by the thousand. Spinnerbait frames I think my last order was 12k?Wire keepers not sure how many I got but the box weighed 22lbs. Allen 1 Quote
detroit1 Posted November 26, 2021 Posted November 26, 2021 22# of wire keepers. That's awesome. Quote
