Hello,

I have been looking forward to using the MEGA imaging that had come with my trolling motor.

I fish out of the front and back of my boat so I never really found a spot that I liked but just found out that I could use the head of a unit in 1 location and bluetooth connect to a phone/tablet.

Is this possible? Have you done it? Worth it (since live is not that much more)?

This is being put on a Pontoon and the trolling motor is in the front.  I already have a fish finder built in the console (a place that I do not like and it is small) Just looking for options on how to upgrade.

Thanks

I don't think I fully understand the question, but I will attempt to answer.

You can connect to a device via bluetooth but you cannot see the screen of your graph on your device. When I connect to my Helix via bluetooth it is to update and to get notifications. When I get a text or phone call, it shows up on the screen of my Helix.

Hope this helps.

You will need to have a Humminbird unit which can display the mega image so you can connect the sonar cable to it.

Yeah, I was wondering if it is possible to connect bluetooth and "screen share" from the master unit.  I heard it was possible, but was not sure if it was possible with HB units.

Back to the grinding board thanks

I think Raymarine makes some fish finders that have the capability to share sonar over bluetooth to a phone or tablet.  I'm pretty sure those units will not work with the MEGA transducer in your trolling motor.
