Super User Darth-Baiter Posted November 12, 2021 Super User Posted November 12, 2021 Brutal. I got there at first light. It was socked -in with fog. Pretty nervous roaming around in a kayak. I had my ears tuned for any approaching boats. I saw a friends car in the parking lot and texted him. -we met up. we fished 8 hours. The fog did clear. I don’t think I got a fish until the sixth hour. I was rotating baits like a fiend. Zero jerk bait action, zero crank bait action. plastics were the key. I eventually ended the exhausting day with 5 decent bass. All around 3-lbs. my friend ended at the very end with a flurry of action. 3 fish for him. We traveled 8 miles in our tiny boats. phew. No skunk. Hehe. 2 Quote
OldManLure Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 After nearly being run down in my kayak by a jet boat in the fog a couple weeks ago, I started looking into lights. I ended up buying a handful of LED keychains in the Walmart auto section. They have a flash function, and were less than $2 each. I hang one on the front and back of my pdf. My buddy and I went out in the fog a few days later, and tried them out. They are incredibly bright and very visible. I’m not sure how often you encounter fog this time of year, but these inexpensive little lights are worth it and worth checking out. By the way, nice fish. 2 Quote
