Eddie Garza Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 I recently bought an old bantam curado in mint condition and like to know the value of it. The person I bought from said it's been in his garage for over 25 years. It came with an old all star rod made in the USA Quote
Super User J._Bricker Posted November 11, 2021 Super User Posted November 11, 2021 Hello @Eddie Garza and welcome to Bass Resource! I have seen some of the old greenies on a major auction site listed for around $85 or so. If it was me, I’d go through it and put a couple drops of oil on the bearings, drop in some Carbontex drag washers, put it on that All Star rod and get 25 or more years of fishing out of it. Funny thing is, I have a “B” series Citica on a All Star rod that for practical and sentimental reasons is still working spinnerbaits. *By the way, check out the thread “Work Horse Baitcaster”.. 2 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted November 12, 2021 Super User Posted November 12, 2021 A Shimano Bantam that it is mint or near mint might get like stated above $75-$100. The rod is hard to say. I know its hard to sell a rod valued at $50-$75 on ebay as shipping will cost $25+. Quote

As others have stated there probably isn’t huge value but I bet it would give you years of good service. My vote would to get it cleaned/lubed/lined and fish it. Or find a kid or buddy who wants to get into fishing and pass it along Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted November 12, 2021 Super User Posted November 12, 2021 Curado B series reels are the best performing bang for your bucks reels made to date. That includes Scorpions and super frees. A bit bulky but just pieces of power fishing goodness. OG Zillions are the same way. I have two. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted November 12, 2021 Posted November 12, 2021 Average sold price on Curado B is around $65. $100 is high. Value depends on what it’s worth to you. 1 Quote
