I've got enough lures to last the winter, but I already know I'm only going to be able to resist a few more days lol

I don't even have anything particular in mind except maybe another pack of rage bugs, but I gotta go get SOMETHING new lol

Bait Monkey still bruised, from the fight he lost with my wife.  I'm sure he will be healed before Thanksgiving.  Can't pass up a good deal.

Depends on what kinda sale Nichols has going on their website on Black Friday for me, if they have any sale. If it’s too good to pass up, I’ll pick up some pulsators

I've been getting better and better at resisting the bait monkey as of lately. 2021 was by far the year I bought the least amount of tackle. I have no urge to even go out and get anything, besides replenishing my spinnerbait box.

It seems like the longer I fish, the less I want. Can anyone else relate?

I just made a decent seiberts order so I’m good for a bit. Its usually deep off season when I can’t fish that the urge to buy is the worst.

Pretty sure the new boat was out for the last time here in Ohio last weekend, so yeah what else is there to do other than buy stuff I don't need!!!  ?

The bait monkey hasn't been able to overcome where I defeated him and kicked him out. This is why he is working on you so hard.

My bait monkey was dragged into the back alley and got a whoopin' from his arch enemy....the boat monkey.

Yep.  As the weather gets colder and colder the monkey gets louder and louder.

I will say I've learned what works for me and my fishing style, and most of my purchases are replenishing baits and tackle and not nearly as much trying new.  It may sound boring, but it's enough to scratch the itch with minimal impulse buys.  Installed a peg board a couple years back and it's really helped to see how many of a particular item I have left at a quick glance.

I've been scratching that itch for a couple of weeks. The free shipping on a number of sites really gets me scratching.  I've already added 10 bags of craws, 6 more of beavers, 8 bags of worms  along with a couple of jerkbaits and a few cranks. I've been holding off making a big purchase until the black Friday sales. I need to replenish my supply of tubes, not to mention all of them pretty cranks and topwaters.  I will not be purchasing any more spinnerbaits as I think the 50 I have now should last through next season, but then again..................

I don't buy a lot of different stuff...I buy a lot of the stuff I use ?

At any given time, I have at least three spare packs of powerbait pit boss lures

That's bad as you can't anticipate a physical assault if you can't understand him.?

As I've become wiser with age I've gotten a ? bit better at figuring out the difference between need and want.

Update - I did find these at the garage door a few moments ago. Two 1/2 RES, a 300 JB, and a deep 300 JB in Blueback Herring. I seriously needed them.

Mine too, but the way it is going already since the colder temps are sneaking in, I don't know if the bait monkey got the message!!  haha?

Yup, only because I have my Christmas allowance to spend on Black Friday. I know what I am going to order, but if stuff is a little cheaper than expected I get to add more:)

The 20 packs of Rage Smokin Roosters I picked up at Sierra did help a little bit and putting together the cart of needs and wants and how they can change day to day is fun too:)

Well, as mine is a project boat that's going to be worked on all winter - the boat-monkey is handily keeping the bait-monkey at bay.

My bait monkey has developed manners now. It's only suggesting plastics with the right action and colors, and tiny chatterbaits.

It's the rod, reel, and line monkey that has a grip on me right now. And boy howdy does he have a grip. He's gonna get fed today with another rod probably.

Mine got the best of me today ??

Went over to BPS and got a spool of 20lb gray seaguar smackdown, a pack of tiny brush hogs, bang spray in pure craw and shad scents, and more Ned heads to clip to make more of my finesse rigs.

I've just never used spray, maybe I would catch more if I did but it just gets so messy.

I'm working downtown today and I'm gonna be passing right by Academy AND BPS so the struggle is real ?

I'm probably gonna stop tho lol

I just use it to keep my plastics lubricated because I store them in boxes.

I've done well with Digitaka. Was really impressed with Asian Portal before they raised their prices. Japan Lure Shop is another good one. They all have fast shipping.
