I've seen a few people ask for advice about a boat ad on here before, so heregoes...

http://easternshore.craigslist.org/boa/1636220813.html

The guy said the boat has no hull damage that he knows of, and that the boat was obtained in a barter and he has no use for it.  The boat looks solid, but I know you can tell only so much from pictures.  I am thinking that for the price, even if only the hull is in good shape, its still a good deal for 800 bucks.  Problem is no one will be there on Saturday if I go to look at it, and the guy doesn't seem to have much more to say about the boat.  It's a bit of a drive away as well, but if it's one of those awesome deals, I'd hate to let it slip away...what do you guys think, is this worth a look, or should I hold off?

No titles means a whole lot of hoops you will need to jump through for both the trailer and boat, and it may end up a year or more before it is even legal to use.

It may be a stolen boat which may trigger the investigation your way if you try to file paperwork for it, or cause much more stress than it should and you may still be out that money if the police confiscate it.

No title = no thanks (unless it is an official police auction)

Title will be a PITA.  Had pretty much the same boat in the 90s. Its still kicking. The floor looks pretty tore up, and looks like it may need to be replaced. My guess is any wiring needs to be replaced as well. Get the outboard checked by a mechanic, and try to get it on the water for a test drive. Keep in mind littel things like wiring, TM plugs, trailer lights, etc add up, so check everything, and make a list of what will need repair/replacing. Sounds like a good deal to me, if all checks out.
