Hooks for the weedless Midwest Finess mold.  They are back in stock at Barlows.  I ordered me 400 last night.

Thanks for the heads up, just ordered a couple hundred. Trying not to hoard so if someone else on here needs some I don't think I bought them out but it did say limited quantity, just didn't say how many they had.

They are offering a 1000 count so I’m guessing that they have a bunch.  There will be 6 of us using out of mine.  I hope Victory or some other company comes out with other sizes of hooks.

We have a local guy who makes a similar jig, Jades Jigs.  I’m using some of his with a 2/0 on baby brush hogs.

VMC makes a 1/0 and 2/0 hook but neither fit in the Doit mold without modification. My plan was to hand pour just enough heads to use in a spincast mold. After I started pouring them I remembered how much I hate pouring Ned heads.

Thanks for the info Allen.  I’m not looking to modify another mold.  I’ll just wait and see if other hooks become available.

Let me know if you want to try some of the VMC ones as I just bought 1k of each size.

6317 BN is the hook number.  I got mine from Zeiner’s in Wichita KS.

You don’t have to have a Midwest finesse ewg mold.  You can modify most any mold.  It just has to be ground down to where the hook fits before the bend. I used my old Midwest finesse mold and had a guy at a machine shop grind it.

I didn’t want the keepers and wasn’t sure how the hook eye would fit so I used high temp silicone to fill in some voids.

Using a regular jig hook is not my problem because all I did was drill straight down through the portion of the hook channel so I can use both hook styles.   I'm just hoping to find the VMC hooks that MUNKIN showed so I can use those instead of the Victory.  Modifying the mold is not a problem for me.

Thanks

Then all you have to do is call Zeiner’s and place an order.

I didn’t even contact Shorty’s because I don’t need a 1000 of that hook.

How many are you looking for? I have like 800 in 1/0 and 2/0 each.

Did you look on their site under lure making, hooks for do-it molds?

I just got my Barlow’s catalogue.  Victory is now making the weedless Ned hook in several sizes.
