Super User Jig Man Posted October 29, 2021 Super User Posted October 29, 2021 Hooks for the weedless Midwest Finess mold. They are back in stock at Barlows. I ordered me 400 last night. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 29, 2021 Global Moderator Posted October 29, 2021 Thanks for the heads up, just ordered a couple hundred. Trying not to hoard so if someone else on here needs some I don't think I bought them out but it did say limited quantity, just didn't say how many they had. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted October 29, 2021 Author Super User Posted October 29, 2021 They are offering a 1000 count so I’m guessing that they have a bunch. There will be 6 of us using out of mine. I hope Victory or some other company comes out with other sizes of hooks. We have a local guy who makes a similar jig, Jades Jigs. I’m using some of his with a 2/0 on baby brush hogs. 1 Quote

My plan was to hand pour just enough heads to use in a spincast mold. After I started pouring them I remembered how much I hate pouring Ned heads. Allen Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted October 30, 2021 Author Super User Posted October 30, 2021 Thanks for the info Allen. I’m not looking to modify another mold. I’ll just wait and see if other hooks become available. Quote

Allen Hi Allen have you used the VMC hooks in the do-it mold if so what modifications is needed to the mold and where did you buy the vmc hooks ?? Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 19, 2022 Super User Posted March 19, 2022 Here is what it looks like. Allen Quote
Donald Nelson Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 What is the number of the VMC hook that's similar to the Victory 10777 hook that could be used for NED jigs after modifying the Do-It MidWest Finesse jig mold? Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted January 2, 2023 Author Super User Posted January 2, 2023 6317 BN is the hook number. I got mine from Zeiner’s in Wichita KS. You don’t have to have a Midwest finesse ewg mold. You can modify most any mold. It just has to be ground down to where the hook fits before the bend. I used my old Midwest finesse mold and had a guy at a machine shop grind it. I didn’t want the keepers and wasn’t sure how the hook eye would fit so I used high temp silicone to fill in some voids. Donald Nelson Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Using a regular jig hook is not my problem because all I did was drill straight down through the portion of the hook channel so I can use both hook styles. I'm just hoping to find the VMC hooks that MUNKIN showed so I can use those instead of the Victory. Modifying the mold is not a problem for me. Thanks Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted January 2, 2023 Author Super User Posted January 2, 2023 Then all you have to do is call Zeiner’s and place an order. Quote
Donald Nelson Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 They don't have that hook style in VMC. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted January 3, 2023 Super User Posted January 3, 2023 VMC 6317 is the number and I bought mine from Shorty's hooks. Allen Quote

Super User Jig Man Posted January 5, 2023 Author Super User Posted January 5, 2023 I just got my Barlow’s catalogue. Victory is now making the weedless Ned hook in several sizes. Quote
