Finally decided to give braid to leader a try on my 2000 size spinning/finesse setup.  Looking at doing 10 or 15lb braid but curious what brands everyone likes?  I will be fishing from shore and mainly tossing drop shots/neds in a rocky bottom environment.  I have some 8lb blue label FC and 6lb Mono I was going to use for leaders since I already have it lying around.

Thanks!

Upper end - Seaguar Smackdown or Sufix 131

Mid-tier - Sufix 832

I won't go lower than that.

Want the best?  Hitena Pure Line.  Suffix 832 next.

For my two smaller spinning setups, I run 10# and 15# Power Pro Super Slick.

Quite a few good choices available.  Out of all of them I would say that either Power Pro V2 or Berkley X9 give you the most for your money.  Both lines are low dia and handle well which makes them cast great.  Both handle abrasion surprisingly well, although if you notice a rough spot or damaged line you should cut and retie.

I use Smackdown Flash Green but actually stepped up to 20lb because it seemed to handle better than the 10 or 15 on my Ned rig and wacky rig rods.

I use Smackdown on all my bc reels but I’ve gone to Fins Spin Braid on all my spinning setups and absolutely love it.
