Super User Darth-Baiter Posted October 24, 2021 Super User Posted October 24, 2021 Sideways rain pushed by 40mph gust! Sweet. Got in some fishing in yesterday. Today it’s all about tying new knots and watching fishing videos. I’d drown outside. it is coming down big time. My local ponds/lakes will fill up significantly, but the big reservoirs will need several similar events I suppose. 1 Quote

Tom They are calling for a 70% chance of rain down here in my area during the wee hours of the morning, then cloudy for the rest of the day. So, we shall see. Quote
Super User Darth-Baiter Posted October 25, 2021 Author Super User Posted October 25, 2021 Rain was spectacular. My two local lakes flooded out. one looks like chocolate milk. The other one flooded gently. Well it simply filled up. Interesting what this does to the bite. I imagine ph or something Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted October 25, 2021 Super User Posted October 25, 2021 Well, so far we got about 1/2" of well needed rain, and some fairly gusty winds to go with it. Hope you folks way up north are staying safe. Quote
Zippo Guy Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 We got a bunch of wind and rain here in Northern California. Lake Oroville has gone from 629.6 feet two days ago to 652.1 feet right now. Our historic low last week was 628 and full is 900 so it has made a big difference. Tree tops and islands that were common the past couple of months are gone. So is our ramp to get to the shuttle to go out to our houseboats. Mudslides into the lake from the wildfire scared shore up here is keeping the water brown and churning. We might be able to launch boats again with a little more water. 1 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 26, 2021 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 26, 2021 This is good news. Hoping it continues, and Mead/Powell get some much needed rain as well. Quote
schplurg Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 A few days ago I heard it was the northern states and northern Cali that were supposed to get wet. That's good that rain is falling south of that too. "They" say it's probably going to be a La Nina year which would mean dry. I really hope they are wrong! I want to hit the Delta at Mossdale for half a day wed or thurs. Keeping my eye on the weather. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted October 26, 2021 Super User Posted October 26, 2021 Looks like So. Cali will be dry at least for next 10 days. Really coulda used a few more inches of that wet stuff... Quote
Super User Darth-Baiter Posted October 26, 2021 Author Super User Posted October 26, 2021 A local lake. Lake Sonoma went up almost 9 feet Quote
