I upgraded from a 24v to 36v Fortrex and went with a lithium 60A battery. World of difference! Boat can now get on plane with the TM and I lost 92lbs of weight in the rear of my boat. Can't explain how much better the boat performs and while the battery and charger were $1300 it is well worth it. Allen 3 Quote

Did you need a new charger? Most lithium batteries are about half the size as lead. I replaced 2 Group 27 batteries that were 62lbs each with a single 36v lithium at 38lbs. Allen Quote

If the batteries were purchased at the same time - the other is probably close to going as well. When replacing batteries, you want all the ones in the bank to be identical. That holds true whether it's a 24v TM, or a 12v and you have the batteries in parallel. Putting a new battery with an older one - the new one will perform as 'badly' as the old one. Even batteries of the same stats, if from different manufacturers, can be different in how they take a charge and discharge. So, a two-bank system...replace them both at the same time, and both batteries should be same brand/model. 1 Quote

The original I bought with the boat in 2015 lasted 6 full seasons. Quite honestly, I don’t see the point of upgrading to a better battery with that kind of longevity and durability so I am going to replace it with the exact same one. 1 Quote

My dad and I got this boat this past August, it's our first "bass" boat, he's had a tin'er and a bigger boat growing up with his parent and we until this year have already rented cheap crap boats to go fishing. Everything is new and a learning experience for us now! First thing we realized is how expensive boats are lol. That was a but off topic but I just wanted to shed some light on my knowledge of things and experience level. We just got this boat used this past summer so I have no idea how old/how many seasons my batteries have on them. I think I'm just dreaming when I speak of upgrading to lithium cause it's a 30yr old boat which I'm use is going to need replacements a plenty so for us weekend warriors I must agree with you that seems like a great lifespan you got from your battery. Everyone learns at some point - my learning on boats was when I was a teen (decades ago) and we had a 17' Plywood runabout with a 1959 Chrysler 50hp followed by a 16' Fiberglass runabout with a 40hp Myself - I owned a 14' runabout with a 40hp for a number of years...then had to sell it due to some financial problems. Did you need a new charger? Yes, it is my understanding if you go lithium you will need a lithium battery charger to fully charge your lithium batteries. Lithium batteries charge differently than traditional lead acid batteries. And an AGM battery on big motor side will give you peace of mind when running graphs and live wells all day Quote

Figured I could show anyone who wants to learn how to make baits. From bare hook to completed bait so you can make something to catch fish on from scratch.
