This morning I woke up to 50mph northwest winds, snow blowing sideways and we have drifts over 3’ in our driveway. Had to help push a neighbour up his driveway before I even had breakfast. Once the wind lays down a bit I’ll go out and begin “ the cleanup” ? Super cold, snow & wind here too - I'm waiting for the wind to drop off a bit before the 'snow relocation process' A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted February 19, 2022 Super User Posted February 19, 2022 I lost power last night for about 4 hours. Winds gusting to 50 mph knocked a transformer out. First time I’ve ever lost power in a winter month. Quote

We had no power issues last night - but we've lost power thrice this winter...so count yourself lucky. Quote
detroit1 Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Thursday here we had 58 degrees @ 6:20 am, sleet at 2:30, and 5.5" of snow before 6pm...Yahooo! 1 Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted February 19, 2022 Super User Posted February 19, 2022 Just got back from Okeechobee and we had all 4 seasons plus some in the week we were there. Hot, cold, bluebird, cloudy, rain, wind….lotsa wind…..and flat calm. We didn’t know if we were coming or going. You know it’s bad when the shiner guides are blanking. At least we caught a few and got sunburn and windburn when we weren’t in our gortex gear. 2 Quote
Super User Bird Posted February 19, 2022 Super User Posted February 19, 2022 The wind has been crazy. Had a tree blow over in the driveway and power has been out for several hours. Have the generator running the wood boiler. Oh, 15* tonight. 1 Quote
Way north bass guy Posted February 19, 2022 Author Posted February 19, 2022 Still pretty windy here tonight, but the power is still on and the snow has finally stopped. Took a couple pics from upstairs looking across the field and river. Looks nice, but I’ll be awful glad to see it again when it’s all green. 4 Quote

Super User gim Posted February 21, 2022 Super User Posted February 21, 2022 Winter Storm Warning here starting in the early morning through Tuesday afternoon. The bullseye is about 90 miles north of me, up to 12 inches there. It was 41 degrees this afternoon and parts of my lawn were fully exposed so a nice dose of snow will whiten everything up again. Haven’t used my snow blower since December, so I fired it up and ran it for a few minutes this afternoon. NWS Twin Cities @NWSTwinCities Snow is on track to impact the region beginning late Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon. This will be a longer duration snowfall event, with increasing confidence in a wide swath of 6 inches or more by the time it ends on Tuesday #mnwx #wiwx Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 21, 2022 Super User Posted February 21, 2022 A messy mix of wintry weather is on the way to Northern Michigan over the next 36 hours. The first wave of snow, sleet and ice will arrive later this evening. The next wave of snow, sleet and ice will arrive Tuesday afternoon and evening. Significant ice accumulations are possible which could cause power outages, tree damage and very hazardous travel. I'll not be doing of that. A-Jay Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted February 21, 2022 Super User Posted February 21, 2022 Here it comes - as @gimruis said earlier...up to 6" for us here in the Metro Quote

My BIL lives in Alexandria and he said they got 8 inches. Looks like the main wave is going to start in the morning around 7-8am with accumulation throughout the day. Quote

Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 22, 2022 Super User Posted February 22, 2022 Mid 50*'s yesterday, today & tomorrow. Possibly 70* on Thursday! 6-8" of snow Friday and mid-30*'s for the remainder of the 10 day forecast... Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 22, 2022 Global Moderator Posted February 22, 2022 Spring has sprung here, although we always seem to get a snow in march. I’ve been seeing lots of groundhogs munching Quote

Ouch... Here - today's high was all of 8 degrees. Victoria ( town just SW of me) recorded 5" of snow today. We're gonna have below-zero nights through Thursday, and highs in the single digits or low teens. 1 Quote
Super User gim Posted February 23, 2022 Super User Posted February 23, 2022 4 inches of snow here today, plus lots of blowing and drifting. Winter is definitely still going strong here. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted February 23, 2022 Global Moderator Posted February 23, 2022 I’m currently getting a ton of lightning and window shaking thunder at 57degrees Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted February 23, 2022 Super User Posted February 23, 2022 It was 71 degrees on Monday, we are supposed to get at least a half inch of ice (freezing rain) starting Wednesday morning with a high of 23. That's not good for us. That causes power outages and makes roads almost impossible to navigate. I just hope they are wrong. We have already went virtual for Wed and Thur. Don't even get me started on how much harder those days are on teachers. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted February 23, 2022 BassResource.com Administrator Posted February 23, 2022 19 degrees right now. Quote
