Yeah, we sure can produce a bunch of that crap weather from time to time?. This morning I woke up to 50mph northwest winds, snow blowing sideways and we have drifts over 3’ in our driveway. Had to help push a neighbour up his driveway before I even had breakfast. Once the wind lays down a bit I’ll go out and begin “ the cleanup” ?

Super cold, snow & wind here too -

I'm waiting for the wind to drop off a bit

before the 'snow relocation process'

I lost power last night for about 4 hours. Winds gusting to 50 mph knocked a transformer out. First time I’ve ever lost power in a winter month.

We had no power issues last night - but we've lost power thrice this winter...so count yourself lucky.

Thursday here we had 58 degrees @ 6:20 am, sleet at 2:30, and 5.5" of snow before 6pm...Yahooo!

Just got back from Okeechobee and we had all 4 seasons plus some in the week we were there.  Hot, cold, bluebird, cloudy, rain, wind….lotsa wind…..and flat calm.  We didn’t know if we were coming or going.  You know it’s bad when the shiner guides are blanking.  At least we caught a few and got sunburn and windburn when we weren’t in our gortex gear.

The wind has been crazy.

Had a tree blow over in the driveway and power has been out for several hours.

Have the generator running the wood boiler.

Oh, 15* tonight.

Still pretty windy here tonight, but the power is still on and the snow has finally stopped. Took a couple pics from upstairs looking across the field and river. Looks nice, but I’ll be awful glad to see it again when it’s all green.

Usually if I lose power, it’s in the summer during a thunderstorm. Even that hasn’t happened in years now.

Winter Storm Warning here starting in the early morning through Tuesday afternoon. The bullseye is about 90 miles north of me, up to 12 inches there.

It was 41 degrees this afternoon and parts of my lawn were fully exposed so a nice dose of snow will whiten everything up again.

Haven’t used my snow blower since December, so I fired it up and ran it for a few minutes this afternoon.

Snow is on track to impact the region beginning late Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon. This will be a longer duration snowfall event, with increasing confidence in a wide swath of 6 inches or more by the time it ends on Tuesday #mnwx #wiwx

A messy mix of wintry weather is on the way to Northern Michigan over the next 36 hours.

The first wave of snow, sleet and ice will arrive later this evening.

The next wave of snow, sleet and ice will arrive Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Significant ice accumulations are possible which could cause power outages,

tree damage and very hazardous travel.

I'll not be doing of that.

Initially they said we were going to get some snow today too, and I never even saw a flake. My BIL lives in Alexandria and he said they got 8 inches.

Looks like the main wave is going to start in the morning around 7-8am with accumulation throughout the day.

There were a few flakes blowing around down by Tonka this afternoon - but nothing of any worth.

I saw on the local news this evening that we have not had a single snowfall over 1 inch here since Dec 10.

Spring has sprung here, although we always seem to get a snow in march. I’ve been seeing lots of groundhogs munching

Rain all day here, upper 30’s for temps, and 3’  of frost is the perfect recipe for flooding.

22* by ten tonight so tomorrow will be one big skating rink!

Ouch...

Here - today's high was all of 8 degrees. Victoria ( town just SW of me) recorded 5" of snow today.  We're gonna have below-zero nights through Thursday, and highs in the single digits or low teens.

4 inches of snow here today, plus lots of blowing and drifting.

Winter is definitely still going strong here.

It was 71 degrees on Monday, we are supposed to get at least a half inch of ice (freezing rain) starting Wednesday morning with a high of 23. That's not good for us. That causes power outages and makes roads almost impossible to navigate. I just hope they are wrong. We have already went virtual for Wed and Thur. Don't even get me started on how much harder those days are on teachers.
