3 seasons, interesting number

What I really meant by that was 3 years. In my case, we get iced over, so seasons and years are interchangeable in this context so that was a brain fart.

and I said it was interesting, because we're just about on the same clock.

You're a bit south of me too. I remember driving to Baltimore in April, leaving mid day with the heat on and arriving around 2am and blowing cold air on me.

Big Game is inexpensive, but it is not cheap. It represents one of the better bang for the buck lines out there.

Big game is surprisingly great for its price. I preferred it to the super8slick v2 of all things.

Super slick V2 is garbage imo.

Sufix ProMix is WAY better.

I’ve got a spool of Bass Pro XPS mono, this is my favorite mono.  Super strong, caught big fish on it, and 1200 yards is $12.

Aw. I have to disagree with you on this one, despite how much I wholeheartedly agree that Trilene Big Game is the bees knees. I never tried another braid after using superslick. Extremely strong, smooth, and quiet. It is dynamite on a spinning outfit.

Only posting this to give people a different perspective. I loved superslick and used it for multiple years. But I’ve effectively been converted to big game for almost everythinf

Trilene big game is my "standard" fishing line.

I tried just about all the braids.  The super slick was rougher than the ProMix is and much noisier too.  Plus...it faded pretty fast.

To each his own, but we DO agree that Big Game is probably the best value/performance for the money on the market.

XL is more limp, and Sensation is more sensitive, but Big Game is acceptable in both, and like 1/5th the cost.

However, NOTHING is tougher.  I catfish with 20lb test big game in coastal brown.  I pulled in multiple 40+ lb catfish on that line.  Big Game never lets you down when it counts!

Big game only recently took a back seat to the yo-zuri super braid for me, that stuff is quiet and really strong. Little memory after getting wet. But I have a 330yd spool of big game always handy near my spooler.
