Mustad has underlined its determination to become a ‘multi-brand powerhouse’ with the acquisition of award-winning lure supplier LIVETARGET.

I don’t have much of a desire for LiveTarget lures. I don’t find them to work well for ME. No dis to them because I’m sure some guys can set the world on fire with them.

The Hollow Body Craws in 3/8 oz. I do well with. The pincers hold up pretty good. They are very steep priced but they can be had on sale a lot of times. That’s the only way I buy them.

I don’t generally have great results with baits that are real realistic. I usually walk away from them.

Only thing I’ve heard good things about is their frog. But apparently they do it really well

I've tried a few of their baits. The only bait I currently have is their frog, which imho is pretty dang good. Lots of folks don't buy the frog I think because of the bad rap LT has in some circles.

I’ve heard the same thing at the lake about them. I might give a couple a try next season. Been fishing frogs more and more the last few seasons. Good fishing.

Thanks for the heads up. I have not heard of livetarget lures. Dare I even look, lol.

Down, boy!! Get back in your cage!! ?

Maybe mustad can improve live targets baits.

Besides the frog, all of the other baits I have tried from them were gimmicks.

Designed to catch fishermen. Not so good at catching fish.

I did pretty good with a LT jerkbait casting for coho off the pier in WA...got it as a gift and when I lost it, I never replaced it...price was too high and you tend to lose a lot of gear during the coho run there ?

Live Target DOES make nice frogs.  Are they worth almost twice as much as a Pad Crasher?  Not to this old frogger and while this has nothing to do with the product, per se, I ALWAYS lose them.

Live Target is a profitable company because of their deal with Dick's/Field and Stream, but no one buys them and every single time Dick's has a "fishing" sale the only things they have a discount on is a million different Live Target lures and some Skeet Reese catfish rods.  I think Mustad should have passed on that one.

I picked up one LT frog when it was on deep-sale at the local Dick's.

While it's decent - it's not worth the normal price...I'll stick with my Booyah's

LT makes great small frogs (1/4oz range) that work fine for UL/light gear (not ideal, but works!) but I'm not so enamored with their other stuff.  The lipless crankbait stuff is just OK - have a couple of light A-rigs but haven't tried them yet.  Mustad is a trusted brand so I hope they'll do a better job running the subsidiary/acquired entity.

As long as they don't wreck their hollow body frogs, I'm happy. Their Hollow Body frogs get more more bites and lands more fish than virtually any other frog, and the 2.25" is a good casting weight and perfect in side for most situations except the thickest of cover where I want the larger one.
