What's the most crushing soft plastic to C-Rig?

I'm fishing a new lake tomorrow and want to try a new soft plastic.  I'll be fishing day and night conditions with clear skies and 90 degrees temps.  

If I want to absolutely crush some big Colorado bass, what's everyone's opinion on a bait that will really get them when C-Rigged?  I know there's lots of different opinions, so let's hear your favorite C-rigged bass killing weapon for BIG LM bass.

Lizzards - long lizzards.

Brush Hogs.

Creature Baits.

6 inch Senkos.

Big Beavers.

Just about anything you want to put on the end of that Carolina rig will work.

Are you going to troll the C-Rig or sit in the boat and throw it out?

I would suggest trolling with the lizzard or brush hogs.

Last time I trolled with a C-Rig was on Lake Gaston and what ever hit it is still swimming in the lake.  One big hit and that fish headed North and I just had to hold on until the line broke.

It was exciting for about 10 seconds.

Look up Carolina Rigs on this site and read what the pros have to say.

french frys, lizards, and floating rapalas tied to a c-rig are what i use.     the floating rapala is very good when i c-rig around rocks and flats, dont use it with weeds around

i apologize if i am high jacking this thread, but also how do you guys cast this being that the leader is anywhere from 3-7' long.  even with about two feet it seems like my casts (even with heavy plastic) doesnt seem to go very far.  plus how do i avoid hooking a partner on the boat?  thanks every one.

Use a heavier weight.

And cast overhand.

The best C-rig bait is as follows...THERE ISN'T ONE!!!! As far as I'm concerned the c-rig is the most boring and unproductive way to fish. Now others will argue that it is very effective and it probably is, but not for me. When I am confronted with a situation that would require a c-rig I do the following...

Step 1. Shudder at the thought of throwing a c-rig and trash the idea

Step 2. Tie on a heavy jig and start hauling in lunkers

Step 3. Repeat

However, if you must put yourself through the pain of dragging that useless rig around then try a ZOOM trickworm or finesse worm

If your going to use a C-Rig, I like Zoom lizards in any dark color.

I would first try a zoom lizard (6"), if non productive, go small, like a french fry or senko, then maybe a fluke

I just started using jigs, but I have to agree with you on this one. I use t-rigs a lot, but haven't had much luck with the c-rigs.

I've C-Rigged everything mentioned above.  The best bite I have had on them is the lizard.

Zoom lizards in solid white or black are the only things I can get to work? Besides that I use a 1/2-3/4oz sinker with a 3' leader and it usually works well? In clear or cold water zoom finesse worms or a case jacks worm has worked in the past. Like others have said I do not like this rig but it is the only way I can catch fish in deep water consistantly.
