Super User DitchPanda Posted October 18, 2021 Super User Posted October 18, 2021 So like many of you I've thrown plastic craws of all shapes and sizes over the years either Texas rigged or on the back of a jig. Since I'm trying to imitate a craw I stick with the usual colors: green pumpkin, black, blue or brown. Then the other night I was watching old fishing videos on YouTube and I ran across a video of Guido Hibdon on American Angler on Alamo lake. In the video the host is pitching to bushes with what appeared to be a salt pepper Guido bug with chartreuse claws. Anybody use unique craw colors? 1 Quote

Luke Barnes Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 One I like that under water looked realistic to me was Zman Orange/Green Pumpkin. Its the only plastic with orange on it that I own but it looks really good in this laminate. 1 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted October 18, 2021 Global Moderator Posted October 18, 2021 I fish sapphire blue a lot. Berkley had a color in the Havoc Pitboss called Lime Purple Passion that I've caught a ton of fish on. I still have about 30 bags I bought when I found out they were cutting that color. Quote

Super User WRB Posted October 18, 2021 Super User Posted October 18, 2021 Smoke S & P with Orange was a predominate Color C Lector combination for water with fair to good clarity. Who knows what a bass thinks a soft plastic craws is??? It moves so it’s prey. Tom 1 Quote

Super User Spankey Posted October 18, 2021 Super User Posted October 18, 2021 I only have a few Guido Bugs left. My all time favorite craw. 3” version. I remember that craw you are describing. Shame they quit making them. Had all the crawdad characteristics but not overly lifelike. 1 Quote
