I recall some years ago these were a very good producer for me and my father. I cannot find a single one or hook leftover and so far my searches have come up with nothing.

Was basically a flat tube that had a special flat weighted hook that slipped inside. It was fished with the eye coming out by the tentacles and wed run one tentacle back and hook it over the point to make it weedless. I attached a sketch to get an idea. Not sure what colors they came in, we only ever used black.

Any idea what it is and if its still made by anyone?20211014_133320.thumb.jpg.cf8c674cbc751a7eb6b423486da5634b.jpg

Flying Lure! I still have a few which I inherited from my some of my grandpa and dad’s tackle boxes.

Looking at all the gimmicky “as seen on TV” baits, this is probably the one which makes the most sense.

Thats it! Thank you both.

Seems like i'm going to have to just rig a tube backwards and wire tie at the opening. $20 for a set of tubes with no jig heads or $20 for 5 with 1 head? All good until the first snag!

Shame honestly they really did work well for us. Maybe ill pick up a 10 piece set and just sand cast some lead on hooks.

Rig a Fat Ika backwards and you'll get the same thing.

I still have a box .

Me too, neighbor gave it to me.  They smell like poison.

He said he caught a lot of fish on them though, just doesn't get out any more. ?‍♂️
