How well do you usually do on overcast days where the temp is cool and it's kinda sprinkly rainy? How much depends on time of year and the barometer? I tend to not go out on those days but I'm feeling like I'm missing out. What do you say?

Yep

You’re missing out!

Some of the most productive days are with the conditions you describe.

When it’s flat calm with light sprinkles and over submerged grass, a walking bait can be deadly.

If there’s a little wind blowing toward hard lines, a shallow horizontal presentation will bring them out.

As the rain gets heavier with moderate winds that’s when I go to the bottom.

However,

None of that are hard and fast rules.
Try it all, its better than staying home.

Best time for fishing. Not only for fish activity but no pleasure boaters.

Some of the most productive days of fishing for numbers. I don't always seem to catch as many big fish on those days, but lots of numbers and still some quality.

I live for those conditions during pre spawn, giant bass time. It’s also ideal Musky fishing weather.

After watching MLF those conditions tend to turn off the Smallmouth bite and turn on the Largemouth bite up north.

Heavy rain with high wind I heading home.

Rain is good, fish love water

unless of course you live somewhere between Virginia and Maine, then it just floods out all the rivers into a chocolate milk rampage

February 3rd 2007 was a nasty cold morning with Northwest winds at 15-20 mph, a slight misty rain falling, and temperatures in the middle 30's.

Caught my personal best 12.5#

Yeah I kinda like it ?

Yah, I usually get the chocolate milk thing in NY. Why I generally tend to stay home, but....

Luckily TVA prevents a good bit of the flooding here but sometimes they still can’t. The dams do hinder some fish species migration but they benefit of less flooding is pretty nice

before TVA nobody could hardly even grow a backyard garden without it washing downhill

This summer and fall when it rains I’ve been doing pretty good.

My best days of the entire season often come in the rain or when it’s cloudy. Generally speaking, it’s more of a summer thing but a drizzle or light rain in the fall can be good too.

August was by far my best time period of success this season. I am fully convinced that the conditions led to that success because we had weather changes, low pressure fronts, and rain. I muskie fish regularly and my best day this season occurred the morning before a massive front was coming in later that day.

As @GaryH stated, it often keeps other people off the water too.

I think we live in the same area and you're describing the last two days. I can say that for me Sunday was one of those amazing days that you remember for a while and I went after work today and it was still good but not great. I was fishing a river.

My PB came in a light rain. Rain doesn't stop me. Lightning is a different story.

Rain and a little wind I will fish on, when I hear the sizzle and crack and everything get bright. I usually pack it in.

I caught over 50 one day in a light drizzle. They were annihilating the Tiny Torpedo on a steady retrieve. I had to adjust the blade several times because they kept smashing it. Of course, there are other variables so there have been rainy days when I got skunked.
