I just priced out an 1875 Lund pro v bass xs with 200 Pro XS.  I loaded it up with Ultrex 112, 3 Helix units, 2 Raptors, jack plate, and upgraded trailer.  The price tag was around $73,000.   I know prices have gone up on everything, but does this seem logical.  I have called other dealerships, and the price was very similar.  Just checking here to see what you all think.  Thanks for any and all comments.

Take a look at the price of aluminum on the commodities listings.  Prices have over doubled since June of 2020.

Sounds about right to me.

If you haven't been in one and especially on the water,

you may be doing yourself a disservice.

To be perfectly clear here though, clearly I am quite bias.

btw - that motor is 20k by it self now.

Perhaps add up the cost of your selected 'accessories',

and see what's left.

That's a great package but they're not giving that stuff away.

A loaded legit bass boat and trailer for $73k sounds about right to me. You’re going pretty high end.

I just did a quick price check on your accessories package.

Throw in the batteries and we're talking in the neighborhood of 20K,

nice neighborhood though.

(does not include installation fee if there is one)

Do that again for the motor and that leaves the hull coming in at 33K

That was a bit of a surprise for me.

That makes sense then Moguy, thanks for that insight.   Still a lot of money.  Yikes

That’s kind of where my mind went.   But, with what moguy said above, if aluminum has gone that crazy, it makes sense.

I have spent a lot of time in my tourney partners 1875 and love it.  I have also watched most of your videos on it (thanks for those).   However, if you are offering a test ride on Menderchuck for those smallies, I will for sure take you up on that!!!

One last thing before I forget,

When I was initially pricing my rig out on the website,

the auto generated $$ was a bit higher than what the dealer was looking for.

While it is currently a sellers market for sure,

(and has been for a while)

that might still be the deal.

Good Luck and for the sake of your passengers,

get the extra console !

Thanks AJ.   Yeah the glove box in that extra console is my storage area in my partners boat when we fish in his.  That thing is huge!!

Supply and demand. The market is hot right now. Give it a couple years to settle down.

That is my dilemma right now.  I really want the boat for next Spring and have the green light from my wife.   However, with the rate of inflation and continuing supply chain issues, is it going to come down within a couple years???   If I knew it was going to come down 15-20% in 2 years, I might wait, but with the stare of the world, I am not sure of anything right now.

You might want to look around for 2016-2020 used boat in excellent condition to take advantage of depreciation.

High end aluminum boat like you are looking are small market often people trade in for something different.

I sold a 9 year old Lund back in March for roughly 4 grand less than I paid for it new. To be fair, the  electronics, trolling motor and Talon were installed by me after the purchase of the boat. The depreciation from new was 4 grand plus the cost of the antiquated electronics etc.

Let me correct you. Time cannot be made up. It's the one thing we have that we will never get back. I have fished less this year than any year I can remember. But that's not all bad. Dad has been a trooper this year. 81 years old and still loves to drown a nightcrawler. Last week I hit bottom and spun the hub on the pondhopper. Dad didn't care. It was 95*, we caught a few fish, and life goes on. New prop is installed. Maybe a me and dad crappie outing on Sunday weather permitting.

My eye is on the carrot at the end of the stick. My grandson is my motivation now. fishing, watersports, etc. His dad is dead(don't want sympathy, guy was a piece of crap). If I give up a fishing boat for a year or two, it's well worth it to make sure that kid has a good childhood.

I've been looking for an aluminum river jon with a jet and people selling them on the 2ndary market must think they are made of gold.  There are 2002-2005 rigs with 60/40 jets on them that they are asking about what a new one went for about 4 years ago.  It's crazy right now.

I am trading in my 2013 and getting only $7000 less than I paid for it.   That part of the market being high is helping me.   The other side, not so much.

Financially, this will not put us in a situation where we can’t take care of our family.  I just don’t like over paying for things if I don’t have to.  That’s why I have waaaaaay too much tackle I bought on sale.
Time with your grandson is priceless, no matter what you do.  It sounds like you will guarantee that for him.  That’s awesome!!!

Overpaying sucks for sure. But sometimes, getting exactly what you want vs something ‘close’ that was a better deal on paper is worth paying a bit more.

I agree K1500!   I have 3 months off each summer, so it will get used!!

I go to the Minneapolis Boat Show every January (not in 2021, it was cancelled) and some of the price tags on rigs there are enough to give a guy a stroke. It’s not just fishing boats either, it’s all kinds of boats. A new wake boat is like $150 grand. I don’t know how people afford boats like that to be honest. They must have much better jobs than I do. Or no kids.

I agree.  I went to the last Minneapolis Boat Show with my buddy.  I am glad I am a bass guy, those walleye boats are $120,000 now.  That’s crazy.  The wakeboats are out of control.  I thought $73,000 was crazy.
The boats you see on Minnetonka are totally crazy.

As stated earlier in this thread, it's real easy to put 20 grand in add on's on todays boats. I've been researching hybrid bay boats for my next purchase. Some boats are $10K per foot over the base models. Motor costs have also skyrocketed.

All comes down to How bad do you want it? :)

Maybe I'm wrong but I think when building on Lund's website, everything goes by MSRP and it's not exactly what you'd really pay from the dealer. I'd also skip getting all the electronics and Raptors from Lund and just buy them elsewhere and have the dealer or someone else install them. I bought my trolling motor off ebay brand new from some marina store and my talon. At the time it saved me quite a bit and I've never had any issue with either of them.

Certain online retailers depending on their states also do not charge sales tax. Eco Fishing, GPS store to name a couple. When buying a few units, that adds up to quite a bit.

All in all, with everything you added onto the boat, 73k does not shock me one bit. Here in NY though, it would incur another $5,840 just in sales tax too.

Thanks Krux!   I know.  We have 7% sales tax here.  That is what helps bring it to the $73,000.   That price actually came from my dealer.   He priced the extras at what I see them for in most places.  I might be able to save a little, but I think I would rather pick it up ready to go fishing.   I am not overly mechanical with this stuff either.   I have some buddies who are and would help me, but I won’t have that much time until June.   I will be wanting to fish bad at that time.
