Love them jerkbait bites too!

100 percent agree it’s super fun when a jerkbait gets freight-trained.

Big swimbaits.    I love waking my psycho gill

Getting a good cadence on the mega dog is quite rewarding also.

I've said it a dozen times on this forum and I'll say it again: lipless crankbaits. Not only is it my confidence bait, but I find it exhilarating. I love to burn it, stop it, yo-yo it, jerk it around, dance it. Anything and everything to trigger that bite. It doesn't get old. It catches a ton of fish which is obviously very fun. Being a treble bait, you almost hold your breath while you fight the fish, one mistake and it's over. The fight is intense, completely unlike skiing a fish in as fast as you can with like a jig or Texas rig. It's got all the elements for me:

- Entertaining to fish

- Catches a lot of fish

- Very engaging fight

There was one when my lady and I were out on the water jamming with perhaps one too many White Claws having been consumed (don't @ me, I have no shame). Look What You Made Me Do by Taylor Swift came over her Pandora playlist and I was friggin dancing to it like a tipsy moron, making her laugh. Started fishing my lipless to the beat of the song and caught a decent bass doing so. I love that bait man. I feel like I can do anything with it.

Whatever they want to eat are the most fun.

It is kinda fun to swing around with a big ol 9" glidebait, though, even if they ain't interested in it.

I'm addicted to glidebaits even if the fish won't bite it!  It's almost like having a lure on a remote control.  Same with Zara Spooks.

With a glidebait you get those wide swings on a straight retrieve, a short pop will spin them around backwards, and a long, hard one will cause them to dart and roll like a fleeing baitfish.  With a Spook you can walk it around things by alternating small and hard pops of the rod.

Anything not finesse is fun for me. Topwater most of all.  Spooks are awesome, as is frogging the weeds.  I used a buzzbait for the first time a week or so ago - I caught quite a few and had a blast, so I love them now too.

I enjoy the feeling of fish hitting a crankbait - I used a squarebill to catch my PB largemouth on Friday, so love them too.

Pulling a pig out of a sunken tree on a jig  is fun too.

I guess anything that catches me fish is fun.  But if you sent me to a dream land with only one lure, that the fish always ate, I’d say a spook.
