Pasquale.angler Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 hello guys, I would like some advice on the best lures (maybe floating ones) to use in carolina rig. I emphasize the term floats because personally I have noticed better results on floating lures, rather than on the classic sinking soft lures. So far I have had the best results with the zman lizard. But I would like to try other baits as well, but I don't know if straight worms (without appendages) can still be effective to be used with this technique. Thank you for your kind attention and for your availability. Best regards. 1 Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted September 30, 2021 Super User Posted September 30, 2021 If I want a plastic to float that normally doesn't - I inject a little air into it at various spots. I've got a 5ml hypodermic needle I use, but this would work Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted September 30, 2021 Super User Posted September 30, 2021 Yes... https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Big_Bite_Baits_Jeff_Kriet_-_Flying_Squirrel_7pk/descpage-BBBFSQR.html Or if you want to use a worm - there is the Squirrel straight tail worm, T-Mac worm, GrandeBass Airtail Wiggler or Rattler... I prefer those for shakey heads or Nekos myself and the Flying Squirrel all the way on C-rigs. Quote
georgeyew Posted September 30, 2021 Posted September 30, 2021 Maybe try a small jerkbait on the end. 1 Quote
