Never carry cash unless I need to buy diesel for my truck, as cash is 10 cents cheaper per Gal. than using a debit, or credit card.

Rarely if ever have cash and have cash rewards cards that pay me to use them without having any interest since I pay them off.  Seems silly to use cash anymore to be honest.

My debit card, which I use mostly (don't buy it if you can't pay for it) doesn't have rewards.

My one credit-card does - 5% - that's only used when needed.

The main place I'm spending money now for the boat work has an 11% rebate going.

I could get more there by using the card, but the card is held in reserve in case of large/necessary expenses (truck breaks down, etc)

My credit score? Over 740...that's all I'll say

my score is over 700 as well.  I have one card that has a high limit with a zero balance solely for emergencies and another one that I use for pretty much every monthly expense and usually the rewards are enough to cover a big piece of my kid's Christmas presents without me paying a penny of interest.  Win Win for me :)

I prefer using cash for some reason I guess. My wife always uses plastic.

I like paying with cash.  Let's you know exactly how much you have left.

Tip:  Bring cash to the tackle store, and leave the card at home.  You will only have money for what you need.  Btw, gotta watch out for the bait monkey, he'll sometimes sneak in the wallet.

I always feel a little worried when payin with my debt card, not ever sure how much is on there.

Just looked. Four benjamins, folded up snd tucked away in the wallet. $65 in small bills in a clip. That would be about average for me.

Save big money at Menards!

I actually do have a Menards Big Card. Forgot about that. Gets me more rebates than just the 11% one that seemingly never ends.

Some, but the pool I draw it from is quite shallow so not much haha

Same dog bit me…

I dont carry much cash. ( Dont have much to carry, honestly…)  I usually dont have more than a twenty, for small purchases. I write one check every other week, and everything else I pay on the bank card.

I dont want to tempt fate. I have thought about it a lot and I dont know that I would give up my money if someone pulled a gun and tried to rob me. I just work too hard for it.  I think I could surrender 20 bucks, but 500.00? That’d be tough for me…

Another thing to remember is if you purchase something on a credit card and after the charge is processed, you find something was not as expected, you can get it charged back to the vendor even if it’s a month later.  It’s much harder with a debit card.  I’ll admit that the debit card issuers have probably stepped up their game since I was involved with them.  I’ve closed over 200 banks and S&Ls in my career and a lot of my info is from assuming banks and their responsibility.

I use cash for regular daily purchases.  The bank requires a debit card and photo ID to make a transaction.  Other than that the debit card stays locked away at home.  The only time I use the credit card is when I am making an expensive purchase and I know I'm not going to have enough cash to cover it.

I always use cash for everyday purchases. I have one credit card and only use it if I have to. Don't have or want a debit card. Our credit cards have been compromised twice through no fault of our own. We caught and reported the problem the first time. The second time Visa caught it before we new there was a problem. Both times our cards were cancelled and new ones issued to us with no problems.

My neighbor, boss and fishing and hunting buddy carries a ton in cash and checks in his wallet.  He was walking through Lowe's one day, looking for some parts.  He walked out of the store, and got into to his truck.  When he was leaving he felt for his wallet, it had fallen through the hole in his shorts.  Gone.  He walked back into the store and began searching for his wallet.  Gone.  He went up to the front desk and someone had returned it.  The $10,000 in his wallet was all still there.  He immediately drove to the bank and deposited a lot of money, and threw away a pair of shorts.

Usually have $150-$300 cash on me normally 50s and 20s. Pay for most things with credit card and pay it off every month.

I never have less than $250-300 cash in my pocket along with a debit card.

I use a credit card for all my online purchases and I pay it off as soon as the payment is posted so that I have a $0.00 balance.

I used to work in some rough areas of Kansas City Mo. I never carried more than 20 bucks on me then. Now, I'll carry more because I don't go down there anymore.

I always carry some cash, I like having options. If I think someone might rob me I'd just start talking very very loud to myself or cuss out a nearby light post. People don't mess with me.

I rarely use cash now because I don't want other peoples' Covid infected change in my pocket. A burrito place near me only accepts cash too.

And ever try swiping a credit card on a stripper? Don't get creative or cute with it, you'll get a 9 inch heel stuck in your forehead!

I think I have about $3 in cash right now in my little wallet. The only things I ever buy with cash are things that I can only buy with cash, and for those things, I just go down the street and hit the drive through ATM at my bank.

Everything else goes on a card so I can track it.
