I'm trying to get this reel up and running for a buddy. I definitely need a pawl (possibly a worm gear), the flat washer that goes above the curved washers (spring washers?), and all 3 frame screws. Specifically the frame screw that goes behind the spool.

I don't have a schematic and can't find one anywhere online. I have tried calling outdoor world reel repair but 5 attempts have only gotten me to a voice mail with no return call.

I know this reel has a lot of parts that are interchangeable with reels I might actually be able to find a schematic for and order parts. Can any of you guys help me out?

Just a thought..... you are looking at about $40 in parts with shipping for $100 or less reel.  You will also need the main gear if you are getting the worm gear. I wouldn't waste the time and money.

Also, when I have called for guys whom I have worked on BPS reels for (only a few), the parts are very hit and miss.  Bearings and drag washers use be had but after that I haven't had much luck.   My usual advice is wait till spring and get a new one during their sale.

even if Lew's parts swap in, you can't buy parts from Lew's currently - they've suspended parts sales, and only accept reels for repair.

If it’s like the three Pro Qualifier 2’s I had, you would be time, money, and bonus friend points ahead to replace the reel with something else. Sell the reel for parts on eBay.

I'm not seeing how I would need to replace the main gear for a worm gear swap. Maybe I'm calling the part the wrong name. Its the gear that the pawl rides on. Either way I'm pretty sure its good I was just looking into replacing it because the pawl was so bad.

I was able to salvage 2 frame screws (actually side plate screws) and the washer from a junk reel. All I really need is the pawl, but I would really like to have the screw that goes behind the spool.

If anyone knows where I could find a pawl that will fit it would be greatly appreciated.

All the advice to sell/replace/scrap the reel is appreciated, but I understand what I'm working with here and that is not what I'm trying to do.

Sorry..... Not sure what I was thinking.  I was probably thinking pinion and main gear which was what was wrong with the few I have worked on.  Getting old these days.  The ones I had seen had been stripped from having been used in heavy cover with braid, among other issues.

I will stick with my advice on replacing the reel.  Good luck.
