Heres my question.....what do you do with lures you never use, store them - trade them off - sell them - or give them to someone. Its got to happen to any of the experimenting bass fisherman.....what say you? I'll just say I sell mine locally usually online buying/selling/trading sites.  Dave

I have left them in rental boats for the next angler . Just two days ago I left a whole pack of Sheels Senko knockoffs in one . Those things were way to hard for my liking .

After X number of years, when my stuff is so disorganized that I can’t make heads or tails of what’s what, I get a big trash can.

Hmmmm......didn't think of throwing them away as an option. I was thinking new condition stuff you don't use for some reason or another.

I've given quite a few to my grandson and his friends who fish. Also have given an older buddy who fishes with me some too.

I used to store them.

Now I 're-home' them.

Gives me a 'fishing related' project to participate in during hard water season.

Plus, I like money.

Happening again here shortly.

A guy in my area started a lure swap around 8 yrs. ago, the first saturday in march. It has become one of the best days of the year for me. After a long winter, this is a great way to get thinking about the upcoming season. You bring some food, some fishing stuff you want to trade or sell, and something for the auction table. The auction table is great, all proceeds go to a local charity/or  family that needs some help. I have gotten some good rods for REAL CHEAP, and some guys sell their jig heads, dropshot sinkers, blade baits, etc. for prices you can't get anywhere. We need a plastic pourer to show up cuz i always need / want some. Before the first lure swap i have never fished out of a real 'glass bass boat. I now have fished out of a 21'Bullet XDC, and a Ranger.  The lure swap has improved my fishing life and i have a few more great friends.  ??

Thats what I want to get into or get started, would work well for me. Maybe I'll start things w/a yard sale kinda thing and see who comes by that may be in the same situation. See if I can grow it a bit........

I've been thinking about getting in touch with my local high school's fishing team coach. Thought I'd see if there is a kid/ kids that are underprivileged and could use some help. If so, I'll make some kid a big donation.

Give em to the kids, or hand em out to other kids I see fishing the local ponds. I've got a 3600 box of "giveaway" stuff I keep in my pond hoppin bag

Most of what I have, I use at least every once in a while. I don’t buy things I don’t intend to use. If I find that they aren’t productive, I will try to sell them or give them away.

I keep them in my tachle box. It currently weighs just short of 50lbs. ( hard baits) and the soft plastics that I keep in the boat (spares are kept on a peg board) weigh enough to reduce its capacity to two anglers.

Hard baits I hoard . Soft plastics I melt down and pour/inject lures I’ll actually use.

Same here.

I sell them if it's mostly a unused pack of plastics or a lightly used hard bait just gather a few things sell as a lot to try to get a few bucks towards another purchase.  I have also given some to friends who fish but just don't fish as much as me or don't have the means to experiment as much with lures that they don't know about.

New hard baits I will give away or sell.  Older hard baits I hang on to.
