New here thought you guys could help.  My son and his friend were fishing at my buddy's property a couple weeks ago and caught what I believe is a juvenile small mouth bass.  It was only about 5 or 6 inches long and was caught on live worm.  My buddy was concerned because he stocks the property with trout and didn't think any bass were there and could be destructive to his trout population.  Is this a bass (sorry for bad pic)? And if so any idea if they would be destructive to trout population? If not bass does anybody know what this fish is?  Would like to relay info to my friend. Thanks.

Kind of looks like a brook trout but I can’t tell if it has an adipose fin. Second guess is creek chub/fallfish type o’ thing

Thanks just watch a video and think you're right about creek chubb.  Never heard of that before but basically a minnow/bait fish which would also explain how it got there.  Much appreciated.

That's a creek chub, and not a bass. They will bite live and artificial baits.

Not a bass with the eyes on top of the head.
