I'm a big fan of the Tatula LT, but when in need of another I have not been able to find one.  So I "settled" for a Fuego, and in the hand I cannot tell it's any different in function from the Tatula.  Very light, very smooth, drag seems good, bail trip action seems just fine, even sounds  the same as the Tatula.  Anyone have any credible info on what the difference is between the two reels?  Other than about $100 in price?

Main difference is the Tatula LT frame is made of Zaion. The Fuego frame is a carbon graphite composite. But the Fuego does have mag seal while the Tatula does not. I believe tatula has better gears though.

The Tatula should stay smoother for longer.

Zaion frame is stronger/rigid and lighter ( 0.7-1oz) than composite. I doubt any bass fishing can really tell the difference.

Tatula got aluminum main/pinion gear where as Fuego Zinc alloy. Tatula should retain smooth feel for years and years but Zinc Alloy with proper maintenance can last a life time too.

Magseal is great for protection but harder on self maintenance unless you have those magnetic fluid (don’t use regular oil as I see one of them mentioned here). Tatula would be a little smoother/lower inertia but not by much at all.

I gave my good friend my Fuego LT and keep Tatula not because it is more expensive or better but for the technique I fish I want as light as possible and at least I don’t have to worry about maintenance his reel much.
