What about a Davey Crockett coonskin hat, with a tail..

T.V. shows...The Lone Ranger, Paladin, Gun Smoke, Hopalong Cassidy, just to name a few.

Scariest movie when I was a kid, Monsters from Mars..lol

The coonskin cap is still quite popular in east TN haha

I had the first two. I haven't heard of the last one.  But I had a cap gun. Does that count?  Anyone remember smashing these with rocks or a hammer?

We used to take roll caps and thread them through the powder like an accordion on a sewing needle, then wrap it with Scotch tape. Light one end with a match and when it hits the end of the roll, they all go off at once. Do that today and it’s likely a felony terrorist offense.

We also used to take two 3/4” bolts and thread them into a 3/4” nut. If you put individual powder caps cut from the roll (or stick-on caps for a cap pistol) inside and tossed it in the air, if it landed on the bolt head, it’d go bang.

Also used to take our Daisy pop guns and stick the barrel in the mud and shoot the clod out lol.
