I am about to buy a rod and I am between duckett, googan or favorite, which do you recommend and what are your suggestions?

id stay away from favorite, have heard a lot of horrible things about them. Haven't heard anything great about the googan rods either. I used to fish the old micro magics and I liked them a lot. the only problem I ever had was the inserts sometimes popped out. I've also used the ghost from duckett and would not recommend. unless they've changed the  guides from when I last had one. Any type of line I used with the ghost would make grooves in the top guide from reeling in baits causing break offs and making the rod unfisable.  A couple  rods i've liked a lot  that are similar in price to those are the dobyns fury and shimano curado. definitely recommend them plus dobyns comes with a lifetime warranty.

And if you want an outstanding, durable rod with a fantastic warranty and that isn't a gimmick, Dobyns is great. Many different lines to choose from according to your budget.

After that - St Croix and Diawa

I wouldn't take a Googan rod if it was a gift with some money attached.

How much money are we talkin'? ?

I think falcon is worth looking at ..........jason christie and bocoo both in $100 range. Cashion crt if you can stand the color scheme. $119 TW sells both and has reviews.

Favorite has to be worse. When even the Googan Squad has a problem with them, that's bad.

It's likely their problem had nothing to do with quality, and what they were getting in return for pimping the gear.

Yep but you think more highly of Googan and Favorite than I do.  ?

Well...if there was enough for me to buy an Avid-X outright, maybe...but the G-Rod would still end up in the trash.

So I can make a more complete recommendation, what is your price range and what are you looking to throw on it?

Sorry to be yet another to suggest a rod that you weren't originally asking about, but I've not used any of those three.

However, I agree with @Tatsu Dave the BuCoo and LowRider from Falcon are worth considering.

I'm fishing from the shore. I chose those three brands because that's what I've seen a lot on the internet. I want one that is more sensitive. I usually fish with soft lure. I want to put a shimano dc on it. What do you recommend?

I'm with everybody else on this deal. Dobyns Fury or sierra, St Croix mojo, falcon lowrider or bucoo SR.
