Super User Darth-Baiter Posted September 11, 2021 Super User Posted September 11, 2021 I think my brother must have left it here on one of our wilderness backpack trips. I used it last time on my braid to flouro FG knot and it stayed tight! probably very much overkill, but it seems to button down the tiny cut ends. Anyone using this stuff? I think it would be a good lube to cinch tight instead of saliva and then hit it with the UV light to cure. It cures soft and pliable. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted September 11, 2021 Super User Posted September 11, 2021 no pic so I have no idea what glue you are talking about but I use UV for all my fly tying. the flex stuff from solarez is awesome stuff and I use it on foam poppers and also to make a welded loop on fly lines that the loop is busted. You don't need a light either, just being in the sun for a little but will dry it pretty quickly. Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted September 12, 2021 Super User Posted September 12, 2021 Gotcha. I am not a fan of loon UV products for tying but I haven't used this stuff. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 12, 2021 Super User Posted September 12, 2021 I don't even wet my knots anymore. Just pull the tight gently and slowly. Hasn't been any issues. Quote
