I kind of like it. The gigantic touch screen seems a little over the top though.

Man, this looks tempting.  The updated rear suspension looks like a huge improvement.  I dig the skid plate.  It wasn't until I had to remove mine for a repair that I realized my "skid plate" option was really just a sheet of plastic on my GMC, lol.  I assume we can expect similar towing specs as the current model?

Cool truck for sure! Buddy is a big Toyota fan, and I have owned Honda cars for many, many years. Quality products for sure.

When it comes to truck, though, I'm a Chevy/GM loyalist. Hard to pull this with a 1/2 ton

Saved for over 2 years and got my 2019 just after the 2020's came out. I didn't care for all the extra electronics and features...wanted a diesel 3/4 ton. Just what I need.

If I were in the market for a 1/2 ton, Toyota would be in my top three...right up there with Chevy & GMC.

Only available with a twin turbo V6.  Higher numbers but concerning to me.

Definitely dig it if I wanted/needed a full size truck I’d consider it but my Tacoma has been suiting me well

I have to remove flemsy plastic to change the oil on my work truck (2019 f150). I guess it’s stops a few dust particles or maybe keeps water splashes away?? It’s a pain haha

I threw mine out when I replaced the oil cooler lines.  I paid for skid plates, not a lid to a garbage tote.

The 5.7 is pretty bullet proof. I'm guessing they went to the 6 to meet EPA requirements

I’ve owned a twin turbo V6 F150 for 6 years now and will never go back. It’s more responsive, accelerates quicker, more torque, tows great, and averages 20+ mpg with my lead foot around town and 24 cruising interstates.

If you need more buy a diesel

I was getting the urge to shop and wondered if the Ford eco boost engines were holding up.  When I saw the redesign of the tundra I was interested. I almost bought a 1794 tundra when I ended up in my High Country Silverado with the 5.3.  I just drove it from Virginia to Wisconsin and bumped up my all time best mileage which surprised me.  With the price of trucks what they are now, I’m going to hold on to mine.  Btw, in case you can’t see it, my readout is set for the 400 mile average.  I was consistently 20-23 mpg on most of the trip.

My Tundra with the 5.7 got an average of 15mpg without the trailer and maybe 12mpg with it. My Ford with the 6.2 and 3.73 rear end gets 12mpg with or without the trailer. What gear ratio is the rear end on your Chevy? That might explain the 23mpg.

That motor has PHASE cylinder deactivation. I get the same in my 6.2 with 3.73 gears

3.42 locking, limited slip is the gearing.  I had 4.10 in my 2004, 2500, 6.0 and pulling the same boat, my 2016 with the 5.3 is much better.  I attribute that to the 8 speed transmission.  I had to go check and found there’s no more codes on the door.  It’s in the glove box.  My truck also has the AFM that shuts it down to 4 cyl when needed.  My buddies 2019 shuts down to 2 and actually shuts off at a stop.  I have been very happy with my truck and only had it back at the dealer for a weird problem with the chrome running boards.  I just put a new set of Michelin light truck tires on it and replaced the factory installed passenger car tires that were on it.

It looks OK - for a truck ?

Here's a shocker to a few on BR - the other day when I was searching the web for a possible new vehicle I looked at some small and mid-sized trucks as well.

But no matter the vehicle, whatever I like is on short supply or not available. If it is available, the prices are ridiculously high. I'm still going to wait.

Not really a shocker. Used truck prices are crazy right now. Were the trade in values identical to what the emails and texts I get on an almost daily basis, I would have sold the SuperDuty. We're at about a $6K difference. Offer me what you say it's worth an it's yours. Offer me less and you're SOL.

It sort of goes look like the new GM trucks. The real question is, like prior Tundras do I still hit my knees on the dash and head on the roof and have one of the most uncomfortable seats available on the market, or did they finally fix that?

@J Francho’s favorite part. Adds 10-15 minutes to the job

I’ve been watching a lot of videos on the new Tundra and I really like it so far. I’m interested to know the gas mileage the new turbo 6 gets in stop and go traffic though. Toyota’s are notorious for crappy mpg and I don’t expect this to change. My F150 ecoboost gets 20 mpg in rush hour traffic and my commute is 45 plus minutes each way so it’s important for me
