Started season as somewhat normal actually little late due to stubborn winter.. fished consist. Now… going into week 4 haven’t been out.. so stinking busy haven’t even had time to quick go out just on the bank for a hour down the street. If I did have a hour or 2 .. it’s been ending up taking care of other business.. spent so much  money this season and it’s collecting dust. ?. Dying to get the yak back out on the lake before it’s too late. Hopefully a couple more times .

Nope but I got you covered.  I’m going twice a week and will pick it up to three days as soon as it cools down a little.

Yeah, Ive only been twice in 6 weeks, not counting an hour here and there bank fishing. Went yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder I guess.

Yup! It’s been since I believe July 4th weekend that my boat has been out, and now that my sons football has started and our house is for sale which means moving I’m pretty sure I’m done for the year.

I haven't fished much in the last six weeks. When even the local fishing guides are publishing stories that the bass and striper bite is bad, I can't find the motivation to get out there, especially in the heat.

Get out. Not too late. I know where you are coming from with not getting out when you want to. I had two back to back weekends where it was impossible to get out in the beginning of August and I was gonna get sick a days right in the middle but I had something apart at work and couldn’t do it, needed to get it back together. I’m thinking of doing some long weekends between now and Columbus Day. Get out back to back mornings for 3 days straight. Work on taking care of stuff later in the days. Get out, good fishing.

I haven’t been fishing since I hurt my shoulder in early July. I had surgery a month ago.  Not getting any better I will need another surgery in a couple of weeks. This is the longest I’ve gone not hunting or fishing since I was 12 years old starting to go crazy.

I try to go at least once every weekend.  My wife's attitude is, "We spent too much for that boat to sit in the driveway."

This summer has been pretty good to me.  In that I have been able to get out and go fishing pretty often, even if the bite hasn't been good.  I'm pretty good about setting up a strict schedule and including half a day of fishing a week into it.  I'm making up for the late winter and most all of the spring when the wind wouldn't cooperate.

I wish.  I was trying to show a young guide it was possible to load a full propane tank into a float plane with out help.  I got the tank in but also taught the guide how to tear tendons in a shoulder.  An old hunting guide I know was fond of saying ,the first rule of guiding is, if you are going to be stupid you better be tough.  Unfortunately, as I get older, I'm not any smarter, and not near as tough.

Had to take four weeks off from fishing because I had hand surgery. Got the stitches out Friday and have been out every day since and will be again tomorrow.

Looks like I might be able to get out end of this week (Friday).

I haven’t wet a line since mid July, then I sold the boat when I got a green light for a new one. So the new boat is sitting in the garage as we prepare for my oldest getting married after a year’s delay. But it’s a good problem for me to have ‘cause the fish will still be there when I’m able to get after’ em…

Since I got the Alumacraft and prepped the canoe for selling, I haven't been out either.

Now that the canoe is sold, it'll be next spring before I even have the chance...lots of work to do.

Might get out shore fishing a bit between now and ice-in...dunno.

Hard for me to get out these days between work and family but I managed a good 9 or 10 hour day this past Saturday on my boat for the first time in over a month. Fishing was up and down but it felt good to just be out on the water in some questionable weather which keeps all the leisure boaters at the dock. As we get into Fall I try to get out more and more.

He was looking it over when we did the 'hand-off' and kept muttering "Holy cow". When I showed him the anchor-trolley system, his jaw dropped.

The fact that I included a couple rigs and a selection of tackle was a bonus for him.

I try to go 1-2 times/week from April - October.  I'd go more, but I have obligations such as a full time job, a wife, a young kid, a dog, and a house to maintain.   I feel pretty fortunate that I'm able to go as often as I do with all of those other responsibilities.

I know how @12poundbass is right now. We sold our house end of March and moved into the new one June 1st. Pulled the boat out of storage in March with grand plans and then a spur of the moment decision to list the house pretty much sent the boat back into storage until the end of May. Was worth it though, as I had way too much other stuff to worry about tat the time, and we ended up with a wonderful property and much larger place. Since June I’ve been out quite a bit more, but still not as much as I’d like cause of that awful four letter word (w**k) ?

This past weekend (Labor Day) was the first weekend boat wasn't out fishing since April. Fished off the dock this weekend, just too many boats. Have to make time for the good stuff. :drinking-62:
