Super User Darth-Baiter Posted September 7, 2021 Super User Posted September 7, 2021 It was crowded with kayaks. At least where I was. I caught 10 bass. Decent ones. No wind, Smokey air, hot. Water temp was 76deg. I can’t wait until it cools down some. 1 Quote

Watched a couple of Greg Blanchard tournament videos so @Darth-Baiter did well under current conditions. The algae bloom was so bad Blanchard described it as “thick as paint” cause it’s like pea soup. With fall weather coming, things should be better… Quote

Super User Darth-Baiter Posted September 8, 2021 Author Super User Posted September 8, 2021 My thinking. The algae is like a big green raft. Wind and currents stack it into the corners. I went mid-lake ish and found relatively clear waters. There were globs of green balls floating around, but it wasn’t thick. I still wouldn’t dive in after a <$5 bait, but it wasn’t awful. Jet skiers and wake boarders were in the water. I kept eating to a bare minimum. I didn’t want to swallow any of it. Quote
