Jackal Bonnie 95mm is more subtle than a Sammy and just works.

Owner Cultiva Zip ‘n Ziggy in baby bass is one of my top producers.

You would need to go to EBay to find a Smithwick Buck ‘n Brawl, upgrade the hooks, it’s a killer rear prop lure in Shad colors.

Original Wooden Sammy 100 if you can find it.

Tom

The Zip n Ziggy is one of my go to topwaters. They just get smashed.

The Berkley Driftwalker is a very good finesse walk the dog style Topwater that has been very good for me in the calmest of water and high pressure situations. I think it’s lesser known because in more than a year I’ve never seen anyone else throw it or even talk about it. I like it because Its very subtle compared to most WTD lures and gets bit a lot in clearer water and in current breaks and slack water. The triple hook design also has an extremely high hookup percentage.

Thanks all, one more questions for you guys, favorite silent topwater (no rattle noise)?

I'm sure a portion of the baits mentioned are silent but I don't know that many so if you could point em out ?

One of the best old top water lures was the South Bend Nip-I-Diddee.  It works best when the wild is blowing hard.  I've caught a lot of big fish on this lure.  Throw it out and give it 2-3 hard jerks then let it sit for as long as you can stand it.  This bait calls big bass.  Blowups are impressive.  I like the color in the photo below.

Thanks, anyone else on lesser known silent topwater? Thanks again

Basically the lures themselves dont make any noise. No rattles or blades. But an unweighted Zoom UV Speed worm or a Gambler Paddlin Shad burned in top gives a nice V trail and offer a nice profile and something the fish probably dont see ever. I imagine a Rage Cut'R worm would do the trick too.
