The 2022 BPT Schedule looks good.  I think they heard the fans complaints about going to the same lakes every year and have a few new lakes on the schedule.

Stage One – Lake D’Arbonne, Caney Creek Reservoir, Bussey Brake -West Monroe, Louisiana Feb. 5-10

Stage Two – Lake Fork - Quitman, Texas (Feb. 19-24)

Stage Three – Lewis Smith Lake - Cullman, Alabama March 2-7

REDCREST 2022 – Grand Lake -Tulsa, Oklahoma March 23-27

General Tire Heavy Hitters 2022 – Lake Palestine - Tyler, Texas April 9-14

Stage Four – Lake of the Ozarks - Osage Beach, Missouri April 30- May 5

Stage Five – Watts Bar Lake - Spring City, Tennessee June 4-9

Stage Six – Cayuga Lake - Union Springs, New York Aug. 6-11

Stage Seven – Mille Lacs Lake - Onamia, Minnesota Sept. 10-15

I wish MLF would live stream on YouTube and keep the videos up. Their content is great, I just wish there was more of it!

I live about 15 miles from Bussey Brake. To bad mlf/bpt doesn't have a weigh in, I might go. As there's nothing to see, I'm nowhere near as excited as I would be if it was a B.A.S.S. Elite tournament.

Does anyone that follows mlf/bpt know how they fish three different lakes during one tournament? Do they spend a couple of days at each lake?

If I remember correctly, when they fished the 3 in NC, they did the qualifying rounds (4 days) at one lake, the knockout rounds (2 days) at one lake and then the championship on the third lake.

I could be wrong, but I think that is what they did.

I seem to recall that. It’s a little goofy for my taste, I prefer 3-4 days straight of the same thing at the same place for a pro tournament. I wouldn’t enjoy a single golf tournament where different competitors played different courses on different days either. Even on their regular tourneys i find it odd they do group A one day and group B the next, seems uneven playing field as conditions change daily

I agree to an extent. I guess the only thing I can say about it is that they still only compete against the guys fishing on the same day. So if you are in group A, you only fish against those guys on the same days which makes it fair in my eyes. Group A winner might have 100lbs and group B winner might have 80lbs, but as long as you are only competing against the guys fishing on the same day as you, I see no problem with the format.

I don't disagree at all and don't support mlf. I much prefer the B.A.S.S. Elite trail. That said, I do somewhat know a couple of bpt pro's. I wouldn't call us besties or anything but I would like to say hi. When they go to Bussey Brake, I may drive over.

There is more content- you just have to pay for it because Boyd doesn't have enough private planes

If they don't extend tax season for the 3rd year in a row I might join the "flotilla" on Watts Bar in June. Take a few pics at the ramp and see if any of the pros talk to me. I just hope my facial features don't push them away. I'm hideous and scare small children.

I'd like to meet KVD, Ott, DC and Jordan Lee. I tend to watch a lot of Ott Defoe and Jacob Wheeler videos on YT because throughout the year they film a lot of videos on my home waters and I pick them for any info I can. Guess I'd like to meet Jacob as well.

Have you ever seen an ugly that just bleeds thru the thickest of fabric? I do have a smoking hot wife though. We've been married 25 years and she still looks like she is in her 20s. I tell her ALL the time that she has horrible taste in men.

What I have found interesting is that often guys from group A and guys from group B find the same groups of fish. Apparently those fish have never heard of "fishing pressure" as different guys from 2 groups yank fish from the same spots all the time.

Our sport is some kind of crazy.

We've got community holes and too much fishing pressure at the same time

Sometimes you match the hatch, other times big baits = big bites

Natural colors in clear water, yet I'm throwing chartreuse and pink in a clear East TN lake

That's why I love the sport, every day is different than the last.... sometimes.

Anybody ever figure out how to airplay BPT streams to TV with stability? Or have a TV with an OS that you can download the MLF app to? With Sony - Google OS I can never get a stable stream with airplay, even when using casting enhancing apps............nor can I find a TV with an OS that allows you to download the MLF live streaming app.

With my Apple TV box I can airplay anything I can get on my iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

I've done that as well. Works for other live streaming apps/media, but with BPT live streams, it's very unstable.

Can anyone explain how the BPT and Elite series, and other "pro" tournaments work?  I've been watching old Elite series tourneys online and love watching, and would like to get more into watching tournaments in general, but I want to understand the sort of levels of each, which tournaments lead into others, which feed into which etc?

For example, in golf there's the PGA with FedEx points and that's one tournament, and it's at the highest level.  Then there's the different amateur tours that feed into the PGA, or a golfer can just qualify by getting their Q card, but they have to be invited to certain PGA tour events.  Is bass fishing at all like this?

Just trying to get a Birdseye overview of the whole process and which tournaments mean what.

People qualify for the BASS elite through bassmaster opens, BASS federations, and maybe a few other avenues.

BPT is somewhat unclear on who qualifies, I don’t even think they brought in anybody new this year
