4 hours unless the fishing is just horrible. I fished for 4.5 hours Saturday for one fish late in the trip. But it was a healthy 2 pounder on topwater and there were two fish going after the Chug Bug. I almost had my fist double ever.

During the week I pretty much exclusively fish the banks of the ponds near my job those trips are usually between clients and last about a half hour. If I can sneak away from the wife and kids during the weeks to bank fish I’m usually gone about 1.5 hours. If I am taking the boat out on the weekend it’s usually at least a 4 hour trip.

6 to 8 hours. It depends on how the bass are biting, if I’m fishing from the bank or out of a boat, and the weather.

Most of my outings are in the range of 4-5 hours.  Unfortunately I have a house, a wife, a kid, a dog, and a full time job that require a significant amount of time.

I don't remember the last time I fished for 8 hours.  I'd prefer to break that into 2 separate outings rather than one long one.  Same reason I'd prefer to fish 1-2 times/week all season instead of two week-long trips out of town.

Its getting harder . I sit down about half the time now , where as I never sat down in the past . I have to take breaks . Also I go during pleasant weather . I cant tolerate heat for even one hour any more . Dr says I spent too much time in the heat and my body can no longer handle it .

If I am on the boat, I will be about for about 4 hours min. The travel times and getting everything ready, it seems anything less than 4 is not worth the drives etc.

If I am bank fishing the local ponds or pay pits. I will go for a couple of hours depending on if I am catching or not.

The wifey comes with me, as she loves fishing too, so I never have a conflict really.

Most bank trips are 2 hrs. Boat trips around 6hrs. Longer in spring or fall.

99% of the time I am fishing out of my kayak and those trips last somewhere in the 3-5 hour range. After work trips last about 3 hours, weekends I spend 4-5 hours on the water.

3-4 hours. Then my lower back is telling me it’s time to stop. Unless Im on a good bite, of course…

Me too. You've just got to learn to cast while standing, leaning, sitting, laying on your back and side(right or left). It's all about changing positions to alleviate my pain.

Until around age 50 it was around 15 hrs, after it became under 8 hrs.

Still like to get started at 0 dark 30, but the bone don’t like it.

It's all good.

Truth be told, I didn't even notice that it needed any.

So I'm right there with you my friend.

Average probably 2-3 hours. Wishful thinking: sunrise-sunset

Hmmmmmm, thought you was more durable than that ? take a trip north and we'll leave in the dark and come home in the dark, thats unless you want to do some night fishing as well. Dark thirty is all kinds of room for shore casts - hang ups - and netting insanity (long as you can swim ?)

Dark time is for sleepy

I taxi back to the ramp in the dark a lot but I don’t like it, I hit lots of floating logs even at 3-4 mph

I fish from my yak and my average time on the water is about 7 hours, sometimes 8. If it wasn't for domestic obligations, I would want to stretch that a bit further. It's "grueling" in that I don't take any breaks and I'm always working a lure. My reels and my shoulder get a real workout. It's both physically and mentally demanding, but I still love it......

I would love to be out on the water for 8 hours, and there are some days I do, but my weekly outings are usually a hour or two, and I usually have a trip once every month or two thats around 4-8 hours. I feel like going out more frequently for shorter time spans gets you really informed on different types of the year and you can stick to patterns much easier

Usually about 5 hours unless they are really biting good, then it is until they quit.

Floating down rivers in the kayak 6-10 hours.  Like most of the older guys my days have gotten shorter with age.  In the boat 4-6 hours now.

Me too.  That is why I get only 1 day on the weekend.
