Seeing that this happened in eastern Massachusetts somehow does not surprise me in the slightest. "If it moves, it can hit you" should be the state slogan. 3 Quote
schplurg Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 Lessons learned from the article: - station wagons are now called SUVs - a large boat on top of a crushed car "appears to" have been detached from a tow trailer - boats survive auto crashes better than cars - stupid boaters are also stupid on land Favorite quote: "It was heading straight towards me," Marcia Procopio, the woman behind the wheel of the SUV said. "I was going to try to jump out of the car because I knew I couldn't avoid it." Edit to add: Where's the trailer? Sure it wasn't a roof rack malfunction? 4 Quote

People do crazy things like make a right turn from the left turn lane or vice-versa. The people who read their phones while doing 70mph on the 93 scare me. Is it better out in North Adams? Quote

It gets worse the further east you go. Franklin, Hamden and Hampshire counties are worse than Berkshire county, but the amount of cars on the road per square foot of road space is also significantly higher. Once you hit Middlesex and Norfolk county, it gets a whole lot worse real quick. In Berkshire county, the north county drivers aren't likely to get you killed they just drive insanely slow. South county has a lot of tourists from NY and they are awful, they will pass you in short 100 foot left turn lanes and into intersections in a 45mph zone and then go slower in front of you than you were going after nearly side swiping you. 1 Quote
