The past week we had 2 tropical storms and 4 tornados, 5 if you want to count the one on the CT/MA border. 3 of them came today and we’re still not out of the woods.

Just hope all affected are safe! ?

Bad, Bad year almost all over, and for some folks it couldn’t get any worse.

Stay Safe

It appears there may actually be some significant rain fall in the forecast here this week.

It’s the worst drought since 1988 here. We have wildfires in northern MN and rivers are at historical low levels. I’ve lived here since 1992 so I didn’t experience 1988 here.

And it's the week I planned on stripping/de-rusting the trailer.

I can't win...

Hope y’all stay above water. 20 + people drowned in middle TN flooding this weekend, some pretty horrible stories and photos came out. One poor guy was holding onto his 4 kids and two of them were ripped away

Over 200 people died in June in the Pacific Northwest because of a historic heatwave.

I think it’s safe to say that we need to take this seriously.

We got hammered with some rain in the mid Atlantic. But I know I’m lucky and fortunate than some of you guys in Tennessee, NC and New England. Rivers are angry and mean here right now. Hope it all pulls together for you. Let the rivers get back to normal. Stay safe. Those bass will be there.

Well, according to NWS, rain started here just before 4am - and as of 7:53am we've gotten almost 3/4". We need it, but it puts a crimp in my plans for working on the trailer.

I got 1.5 inches. The best rain of the entire summer so far. Projected to get another 2-4 inches later this week too. This may actually make a dent in our drought.

I had a cooler drying off outside when the rain came.  There is nearly 5" of water in it.  Not an exact rain gauge, but WOW.

It’s been the coolest summer here I can remember. Probably because it’s been raining so much. Not just an occasional t-storm, but it just rains for hours once it starts…

Gulf coast has Invest99L, 80% predicted to become a tropical cyclone w/in 5 days and make landfall from Matagorda to NOLA by mid week next.

I have received over 5 inches of rain just this week.  That's more than the entire rest of the summer combined.  What a joke.

At least we're making a sizable dent in the drought here now.  Northern MN needs it to put out the fire.

Last week I was camping in Vermont. We had a tropical storm pass through.

Then we got the very outskirts of what was a hurricane. Got some decent rain Monday night, but mostly a drizzle.

We pretty much get a thunderstorm a day, but it doesn't last long. Our lakes are still very low.

Hurricane Larry is coming up the coast. Time to pull the boat out. Season is over anyway. Just pulled the plug on the pool for the season as well.

See you boys around the holidays!

We just got 8” this week, historic flooding in PA. Pretty sure river fishing for me is done. Was at the lake yesterday and managed a couple 15”+. A bright note in the gloom and doom. Most likely will just finish the season out on it. Will have to stop at a few of the ramps and see if I can even get in and out of them. The destruction along it is pretty bad and I have not had the desire to even go look. A friend was down on the trail with his bike and took a few pics of some dead fish (Smallies) on the trail. I thought it sucked but I guess it just part of Mother Nature and her plan.
