#1 right here!

I never could get bit on a DS because I just did too much with it. Thanks to the great members here and reading through post about it, I believe it was @A-Jayor @J Francho that said something to the effect of imagining the weight as an anchor and you're only trying to move the bait and not the weight. I was almost doing more like the weight was a shakyhead, dragging and shaking it along with the bait, which was doing way too much. Once I slowed down and treated the weight like a stationary anchor, the bites started happening.

The other lesson in it was no matter how much you think you no or how experienced you might be, you can always learn something new and these forums are a great place to do it.

Nicely Done @Glenn  @Keri~

The first tip about overworking the bait is a biggie in my book too.

I like to think of & fish my drop shot bait as if it was a live bait.

btw I learned a lot watching Aaron do his thing.

Fish Hard

@Glenn Good one again Boss!

My biggest DropShot mistake is not throwing it enough.

@A-Jay Movement without movement ?

With bottom contact techniques you want to impart movement to the lure without moving the rig forward.

I've only caught one bass on a DS.  I'd pretty much given up on it but, watching this video, I realize I'm making 10 of the 7 mistakes ?

I'm inspired to go pickup some 6 lb test copoly and give this another go using the techniques described.  @Glenn, thanks for posting these.

Nice video.

So straight fluoro?  Interesting.  I use YGK's sinking braid to a 6 lb leader and it works for me but I hardly set the hook at all.  Just apply pressure back and that little Gammy hook sticks 'em every time.
