Bass Rutten Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Trying to branch out from the keitechs a little I tried the storm largo shad near the end of last year and was very pleasantly surprised, great swim, outstanding finishes, more durable than most, and beefy enough, despite being 4", to cast quite well on my mh/f casting rod. Pictured with owner 5/0 flashy swimmer. It's for sure gonna be a player for me this spring. Hoping for a 5" version, comes in 3" too. 2 Quote

They have some nice body roll. Actually work well as a swim jig trailer. Didnt catch much on them but i think that will change in ‘22 1 Quote
Steveo-1969 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I’ve caught fish on every 2.5”-3.5” paddletail I’ve ever used regardless of brand. Even baits out of the Walmart bargain bin that are labeled “Assorted Plastic”. If the tail wags they are going to get bit. If the tail doesn’t wag they will probably still get bit. Quote

Seems like a few people listed 1 or the other. Easy shiner and Spark shad. Swing fats too. Hazedong 3" for casting/swimming dropshots.......I have no patience to thread a 3" hazedong on a ball head. I like 3.5" Bass Assassin Boss Shiners for a keitech swing fat alternative for weedless/owner beast/flashy swimmer/trailer applications I don't want to waste a brittle swing fat impact on. Some different colors. Quote
txchaser Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Jackall Rhythm Wave. Read an article about them as a finesse version of the fat impact. Slender body, tighter wiggle, and reasonably durable plastic to boot. Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted January 12, 2022 Super User Posted January 12, 2022 I don't throw them often, but when I do, it's the Kietech 2.8 on a underspin. Quote

I hate carrying around 10 clamshells and the tails end up kinked anyway because the clam shells are so thin and cave in so easily. Quote
