Can't Catch Bass Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Hello. I was looking for suggestions for a replacement to my zman 1/8oz micro finesse jigs. Does anyone know of a similar sized jig with a weed guard and a different style head that comes through weeds better? Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted August 20, 2021 Super User Posted August 20, 2021 Bitsy Bugs come in lighter weights and come through veggies well. I’ve caught a bunch on them the past couple years. Quote

Can't Catch Bass Posted August 20, 2021 Author Posted August 20, 2021 One other quick question. I'm looking at photos on bass pro... I fish green pumpkin almost exclusively. The green pumpkin for this line up has orange in it, which I think will make this look a little out of whack with the forage species. Are the pics on bass pro accurate? It looks like watermelon might be the better option. Quote
Can't Catch Bass Posted August 21, 2021 Author Posted August 21, 2021 Nevermind, I just went with watermelon Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted August 21, 2021 Super User Posted August 21, 2021 Missile baits Ikes micro jigs. Come in a 2pk...weed guards aren't installed but come with them so you can decide if you want them or not. Head shape looks better for working thru weeds. $5.99 on tackle warehouse. 1 Quote

The 1/16 & 1/8 oz in Dill Pickle with the last 1"- 1 & 1/4" tail of a torn up Finesse or Trickworm in black as a trailer is almost like cheating. Works equally well on Spots and LM. Quote

To be honest when I fish a small jig I reach for some @Bluebasser86 made for me..they are slightly larger than a bitsy bug with a hand tied skirt and a much better hook. Quote
