so curious how many of you won't fish baits like a flutter spoon if there are no shad in your lakes but there are crappie I mean it's almost similar it color shading I think for a fish. Do you not think about matching the baitfish in your waters and just use baits to fit the situation?

Both. There are times when matching forage is key, and others when something that looks and acts like nothing that lives in or near the water is the way to go.

If you don't tell the bass there are no Shad in the lake they won't know not to eat the spoon.

I think in the case of a spoon it's more about profile than a specific food source.

Correct. It seems when fish hit the Dardevle, which is a fat wobbler, they don't hit the Cop-E-Cat, which is a slim dancer. And vice-versa.

I think the greatest curse on any man would be to understand both fish and women. It would drive you crazy.   ? ? ?                        jj
