I normally have fluorocarbon on 18 setups, now only 13 since I put Yozuri on my 5 Ned setups.  I don’t have any trouble and don’t use any conditioner on the fluorocarbon.

*What size Yozuri Hybrid on your 5 Ned set ups ? I also assume you are using a spinning rod/reel set up ?

The only problems I've had with fluoro and manageability have been when I tried 10 lb on a spinning reel.  I do replace the line after a couple months.  I've had 7 lb Gamma Touch on a spinning reel since March and have used it heavily and it was casting fine yesterday.  If someone is having problems with fluoro I would look at the quality of line you are using, how long you are using it, how you are putting on a spinning reel, and are you overfilling a spinning reel.  I've been using fluoro for years and have virtually no issues anymore.

There it is....how you wind the line on a spinner is real critical, always counter clockwise off spool and clockwise on reel. I use 30 size reels and 10# is the max that will behave for me when throwing lighter baits. Line conditioner (KVD) is a good addition and besides the spool, the guides on both sides as well. I'm planning a downgrade to 8# next year on a couple set-ups simply because it will be less visible on my two really light rigs. The abrasion resistance is better than anything I've used previously and diameter is always .010 or less.

My 3000 size I'm running braid. My 2000 size I have 8# InvizX on.

I consider it almost a necessity. If it ain't braid, it gets KVD.

So I have the opposite. I won’t go below 12# floro. I tried floro in 6 for my light rig and it was disastrous. Stuff simply would not straighten out after being on the spool a day. Line conditioner helped but I refuse to use a more expensive line that requires an add on to use effectively.  Just wasn’t worth it for me.

I love the 12lb with cranks and Trig worms. Not because I think fish can’t see it; I love the abrasion resistance, the castability, and the sensitivity.
