NittyGrittyBoy Posted August 9, 2021 Author Posted August 9, 2021 I still fish ? Just ain't posted much lol -its not a bomber long A, I ordered a few and they don't have a spinner on the back. And the way the bombers are molded you can't unscrew and add a spinner. This plug has been my number 1 producer this year and it's getting chewed up. They were give to me by an old timer. Super User scaleface Posted August 11, 2021 Super User Posted August 11, 2021 The one on the left is a Bomber Prop A .A Long A minnow with a prop . The largest limit of bass I have ever caught was on one . Its one of my favorite post spawn baits When they were discontinued I found some in a clearance bin and bought a bunch of them . I have never used that pattern but by the looks of them , they caught a fair number of bass . They were not around long and absolutely zero information about them on the internet . My favorite retrieve is to twitch as fast as I can , yet still remain in contact with the surface . 2 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted August 12, 2021 Global Moderator Posted August 12, 2021 Bagley has the Bang O Spin Tail that is similar if you can't find the exact bait. Haven't fished them in a long time but I remember catching a lot of bass on the black/gold when I was a kid. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Bagley_Balsa_BangOLure_Topwater_Spintail_Jerkbait/descpage-BAGBLSP.html Quote
Super User scaleface Posted August 12, 2021 Super User Posted August 12, 2021 The Bomber Prop A works well on baitcasting gear . Thats what drew me to the Long A to begin with .The first time I bought one was by accident . I was already a fan of the Long A in that size . I was on the lake one day and decided to tie on my new lure and couldnt believe it had a stupid prop on it . Oh well , lets see what it does . It caught bass is what it did and big ones .I once caught book end 7 lbers on it on back to back cast . 1 Quote
