I fish the Big Turd a lot, especially if I'm after largemouth primarily. Jighead doesn't change, 1/16oz homemade Midwest Finesse head with a #2 hook.

I stick with the regular TRD in the river for smallmouth and walleye.  I have been using the big TRD for largemouth in my favorite bass pond.

@TnRiver46 If I'd have used regular Dingers or whatnot cut in half for my river fishing, I would have spent $10-15 in baits in the last year, instead of one pack of TRD's.  Besides, I don't think anyone makes a color pattern like Coppertreuse, which is killer!  Something to chew on..

I rarely have worms fly off the hook, I lose the whole rig

I don't think that's what he was getting at.

I’m fishless on the big TRD. I keep trying tho.

oddly enough I do better with a tiny 1.5” ultra small TRD.

What jighead's do you like for that bait and what sizes?  I'm leaning towards the Outkast perfect ned 3/32 in a 2/0...

If I am fishing a Big TRD it’s not on a jighead. I use a 1/8 oz strike king tungsten bullet weight and a 1/0 worm hook and T-Rig it.

I used to fish it on a mushroom head jig but didn’t have the success I did with the finesse TRD. Once I switched to T-rigging it the magic started.
