I cant be the only one doing this right? It definitely works and is just as fun as dangling a frog.

Man , those were some hits . I thought that might be what it was and have   done it with worms but have only caught a few

Oh I see… I involuntarily dangle every time I angle. Yup sometimes it tears them up and bam!!!

IDK if you follow Bama Bass on YouTube, but he fishes some private trophy lakes and catches some serious toads. It's funny how much angrier his bass look on a topwater strike than I'm used to. Sometimes the bigger bass just slurp the bait in.

In that case neither do mine because I rarely fish public waters anymore. But I also haven't got near a DD bass yet.

if you do it right...whether intentional or not hahah...its a subtle presentation. Hes got some cool videos dangling the spider too. and how fitting is that, to dangle the spider down like that. dangling the spider underneath trees has worked for me too.

 

its funny cause now that we are talking about it. you really can dangle just about anything. Im sure everyone has at one point screwed up. tossed into the bushes and thought dang, only to have something hit it when it touches the water. now we can do it on purpose.

   Guy I worked with years ago did it.  It worked, but he only did it in rivers.    jj
