Hello there!

Long time, First time....

I'm looking to build my first spinning outfit... It will probably be used mostly for the Ned Rig.

I prefer heavy actions on my bait casters but i can't decide on the Loomis conquest SJR Med vs Medium Heavy.

Does anyone have an experience using one? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks so much.

I have both, I am very sure you need to get Medium, I really like it. It is up to you 782 or 842, I have the 842S and I really using was all around spinning for everything including the Ned rig.

BTW I spool it with 15lb samurai and 6lb vanish (10 yard Long leader).

I have an 843S and it's too stiff. I say that and nearly all of my bass rods are MH and H. My favorite 3 rods are the 783C, 843C and 844C Conquests.

The 843S makes a good saltwater rod for bottomfishing for panfish in the surf. Or throwing giant weighted worms for LM.

I have both the Coquest 842 & 843 and 902 spinning. Go with the 842 or better the 902.  You would hate the 843 for ned rigs and other fineness applications.
