I called G.Loomis to use their Xpeditor Service and had to fill a form out online to get an email on payment.   They said it would be 3-5 days before I would receive the email.   It's been two weeks and no email.  So I called them back and paid over the phone but the rod I broke (my fault) was a 803S NRX.  They are going to replace it with the new NRX+ but it will be December before I get it.

That stinks, but there are supply chain issues across almost all industries.

Thank you for sharing this up to date information. In “normal pre-pandemic times Loomis has been very good to me with all my experiences.

I am not really upset at the shipping delay.  I just wanted to warn others that if they are expecting a rod quickly, it may be awhile.

Also, they did tell me that they were shut down for months and they are not yet up to their full production capacity.   They also made it sound like they are fulfilling smaller tackle shop orders first and the bigger retailers later.

Last year I had to use the Xpeditor service twice.  Both times it was a rather easy process.  For one rod it was an 843 GLX and they said it would take 3-4 months.  It arrived in 2 months.  So I'd be optimistic that you get that NRX before December.  Good luck.

I had the same issue recently. Sent my rod in back in May and was told it would be February 2022 before I got it back. This was a normal warranty claim for a factory defect, not the expeditor service.

I was told by a customer service rep that if I paid the fee for a new rod through the expeditor service instead of the factory warranty, the wait would have only been 30 days. In other words, money talks… Ended up calling and complaining to one of the managers who eventually made it right, but the process took about 3 months. They are a mess over there right now.

I took my conquest 843c to a local shop who would send it in for me, this was 1.5 months ago I think. I don’t know I lost track lol, I planned on using that rod for weightless plastics this year. I don’t have hope really that I will be using it this year though. I am just being patient and waiting luckily I have more rods than I truly need, so it’s no big deal but it still hurts a little bit, my first real use of higher end loomis rods has left me thinking. Although I have my 844c to help tide me over though.

Try buying a St. Croix through their website. They have openly stated that their first concern is filling retailer orders. Their own online inventory is a distant second. I can only assume Shimano/Loomis is the same way. Warranty issues aren't at the forefront of their concern and, honestly, they shouldn't be. They are filling them as they can.

I have several St.Croix rods.  Their service has always been top notch.   I just haven't had to contact them since last year though.   It seems their website is always sold out.
