I have several dobyns rods and have started to dislike them.  Only ones I half way like are my sierras for moving baits.  I have a kaden and it has no sensitivity at all.  I'm actually getting rid of all my dobyns rods and switching to mainly cashion rods.

I'm looking at new rod options myself.  I'm not an expensive rod guy, but the Shimano Poison Adrena interests me.   I never buy a rod without holding it unless I've bought the same rod before.  What feels good to me may not feel good to you or someone else. I've had $50 rods that are prefect and $250 rods that I hated.

That's why I like Bass Pro Shop.  I walk around and test every rod to see which one feels right.  Lately, my local Bass Pro has been down on inventory.  I'm heading down there soon to see what they have.

If you haven't gotten your hands on the Poison Adrena yet, Bitters over in Longwood has a handful in stock. I was playing with them over the weekend when I went to pick up a Dobyns Fury. They feel unbelievable, but definitely out of my comfort zone price-wise.

Should be holding mine on Friday and fishing with it that evening. I'll be fishing moving lures as well as dragging bottom. We'll see but some experienced fisherman suggested the sierra and I took their advice and don't think I will be disappointed. I use all junk rods now and can feel structure and bottom so things will only get better.

I see Sportsmans Warehouse has the Sierra on sale for the same price as the Fury.  In store only,  but our local store doesn't have them. Means an hours drive for me,  but sounds like it would be worth it.

Thats a deal for sure but the nearest SW is a couple states away. If a place don't ship they automatically lose my business up here. Good tip for those with a store a bit closer. If I like mine when it comes the next two will come from TW this winter when they have a sale.

After doing a little more research, I discovered the new Shimano Zodias rods have many of the features of the Poison Adrena for around $200.

Bitters had some Zodias rods, as well. I was handling the older model without the monocoque handle, but I think he had some of the newer ones, as well. Got to play with a couple Exprides, too.

Sounds like I need to go for a ride.  Thanks!

They ship for free with no tax.

I’ll need to put my Sierra next to my Fury to see the difference in the guides.   I Just fish with them.  Never looked at the minutia of it all.  Very interesting. Thx

Don't think a fury is a bad choice at all. I was considering buying a fury but the micro guides and several posters replies made me rethink and opt for the sierra. I'm glad I did ?
